Mary, over on CardzTV (http://cardztv.blogspot.com/), did a video today showing how to make an easel card. I thought this would be perfect for my niece who is "graduating" from preschool this week. She likes to display the cards that I make for her, so this will make it easy for her.

1st Birthday Invitation

My sister-in-law asked me to make invitations for my nephew's first birthday party. Her four-year-old decided the card should have a red car on it. I thought this cut from Paisley was perfect - we got the red car, plus a cute bonus zebra! The number one on the car is from Don Juan.

Recipe:

All supplies from Papertrey Ink, unless otherwise noted.

Cardstock: Pure Poppy, Stamper's Select White, Spring Rain, & True Black
Patterned Paper: "Men of Life Collection"
Ink: True Black
Ribbon: Pure Poppy Classi Grosgrain

Graduation Invitation

My little boy is graduating from middle school in a few weeks! Where has the time gone? This is one of the invitations I made for our family, to invite them to the big event.

I used my Gypsy to weld my "GRAD" letters, cut from Don Juan at 1.3". I copied this to use later for my polka dotted layer. Then I welded a 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" rectangle to "GRAD", resulting in a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card to score at 4 1/4" (perfect for an A2 sized envelope). The yellow strip is 5 1/2" x 3/4".

Recipe:

All supplies Papertrey Ink, unless otherwise noted

Cardstock: Enchanted Evening, Lemon Tart, and Kraft
Stamp Sets: "For the Graduate" and "Polka Dot Basics"
Ink: Enchanted Evening and Dark Chocolate
Die: "Mat Stack 1" (layered with a punched 1 3/4" circle)

Non-Cricut Graduation Card

I've been so excited to try out my new stamp sets, "A Little Argyle" and "For the Graduate", from Papertrey Ink's April release. A friend of mine just got his MBA, so it was a perfect opportunity. All supplies are Papertrey Ink except for the brown satin ribbon, which was from Michael's.

First I stamped the argyle background on Rustic Cream cardstock using Enchanted Evening and Dark Chocolate inks. The kraft frame is a Papertrey Ink die, "Mat Stack 1", that I was able to use in my Cuttlebug. It is also stamped with Enchanted Evening ink. The sentiment is stamped in Vintage Cream, and the blue strip and card base are Enchanted Evening.

Hopefully this color combo is masculine enough!

National Scrapbook Day Challenge #9

"Take Shape"

Okay, the weekend is over, so this is my last My Pink Stamper challenge completed for the 2010 National Scrapbook Day. It's been a blast! For this challenge, we had to create a shaped card or scrapbook page. Here's a little hippo card.

DCWV textured cardstock

National Scrapbook Day Challenge #12

National Scrapbook Day Challenge #6

"Kids Craft, Too" is the latest My Pink Stamper Challenge. Here we have been challenged to use a kid in our projects. I used the little snowboy from Everyday Paper Dolls. Patterned paper and glitter paper are DCWV. Most of the rest is Papertrey Ink.

National Scrapbook Day Challenge #3

Challenge 3 at My Pink Stamper is "Thinking Outside the Box". We've been asked to do something on a scrapbook page that we wouldn't normally do. I decided to do some sewing on my page. This was not an easy feat, as I just bought a sewing machine last weekend, and this was my second time sewing EVER! After 2 1/2 hours of attempts, this is the result.

"Winter Fun" is cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge. Papers are from Papertrey Ink, DCWV, and Bazzill.

National Scrapbook Day Challenge #2

My Pink Stamper's 2nd challenge today is to create something with scraps. I made this card using the Don Juan font and the girl from Forever Young. All paper is Papertrey Ink, and I used the "Spots and Dots" Cuttlebug folder.

National Scrapbook Day Challenge #1

It's National Scrapbook Day and My Pink Stamper is having hourly challenges on her website. Since I've been having trouble posting my pictures over there, I am starting this blog. Challenge 1 was to make a Mother's Day Card. Here is mine, made with Papertrey Ink papers, ribbon, stamp, and ink. The bird and cloud are from Create a Critter. The birdhouse is Stretch Your Imagination.
