MCT Favorite Stamps of the Month

It's time for My Creative Time's "Favorite Stamps of the Month," and Emma's got three great sets on sale this month, until June 30th!  They are My Little Firecracker, You're My Best Buddy, and Have Fun in the Sun.  These three are PERFECT for summer!  We're also having a Linky Party at My Creative Time, where you can share new or older projects that you've made with these sets.  You have two weeks to enter!

For my project today, I made a little 4th of July tag, showcasing a sentiment from My Little Firecracker.  The tag is cut at 5" from the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge.  The stars are cut at 2.5" and 3.5" from A Child's Year, and the border at the bottom is cut at 0.93" from Ribbons & Rosettes.  Product details are at the bottom of this post.  I've got lots of past projects using all three stamp sets, so keep scrolling down!

MCT 3-D Wednesday

It's 3-D Wednesday at My Creative Time, and I've got a fun Father's Day gift to share with you today!

I made the fun tie box from the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge.  I cut it at 8".  For tips on how to use the score lines that come with this cartridge on your Gypsy, check out this post.

When I was looking through my papers, I came across this one from Fancy Pants, in the Off to School collection.  I couldn't believe my luck!  The perfect plaid for the shirt had glasses on the back side that work perfectly with My Creative Time's Here's Looking at You stamp and die set!  The shirt box cut comes with a tie, but I much prefer the stitched tie from Emma's Here's Lookin' at You, so I used that instead.  When the collar folded down, it showed the glasses side, so I traced it onto the plaid paper and glued that on top.

The box is just the right size to hold some dark chocolates for my dad.  He doesn't like to get big amounts of chocolates, so this is perfect!

I made my coordinating 3" card with some PTI fine linen cardstock.  I added some strips of the Fancy Pants paper (both sides) and a few stamps from Here's Lookin' at You.  Easy!

Here's a look at the entire Here's Lookin' at You set:

Bring on the Happy!

All my brother wanted for his birthday was some money for a road bike, so this was the card I made for him.  It was inspired by a picture that I recently saw on Pinterest.  It was very quick to make.  I started with a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of fine linen cardstock, scored at 5 1/2".  I stamped the background with fine linen ink and the Papertrey Ink Background Basics:  Farm & Barn stamp set.

This adorable bike, by Cali Arroyo, was cut at 4.2" with my Silhouette.  Isn't the fine detail amazing?  I just trimmed off the front half of the bike.

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Just Ducky Card

I just got some new Papertrey Ink goodies, and I've been playing around with them a bit this weekend.  I love the barn boards background stamp!  I stamped it onto my soft stone card base with soft stone ink.

The sunrise image is from the PTI On the Farm stamp set.  The stamp is two pieces, allowing you to use two different colors.  It looked rather plain directly on the card base, so the My Creative Time Tag Dies came to the rescue!  I die cut some gingham paper with one of the tags and wrapped it with some 1 mm hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  Popping up the sunrise image on this was a huge improvement!

The sentiment is from On the Farm, and the cute little polka dot duck was die cut from the On the Farm Die.  My class is currently reading Charlotte's Web, which was the main reason I bought On the Farm.  I've had fun die-cutting lots of the farm animals out of colorful sticker paper, which I'll be able to use when responding to my students' journal writing.  It's a lot cheaper than buying stickers, and these are cuter too!
