St. Patrick's Day Invite

Every year for St. Patrick's Day, we have some family over for a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner.  This is the invitation I'm sending out this year.  I found some cute patterned paper from the Simple Stories Take a Hike collection, which I used for my color inspiration.  The cute little shamrock was cut with a die from the new My Creative Time You're My Pot of Gold stamp and die set.

I love this turtle with a top hat from the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge!  I cut him at 3" and added a little gold Stickles to his top hat.  The "CHEERS" sentiment is from You're My Pot of Gold, stamped onto a die from MCT's Just Simply Live.  I topped that with a button made from MCT's Stitched Button Dies, tied with a little green hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

I used the Papertrey Ink Movers & Shakers:  Sliders dies from Papertrey Ink to add a fun element to the card.  When the recipient pulls the tab, the turtle slides up and a message (from MCT's I Believe in Leprechauns) is revealed!

I'm Crafty & You Know It!

Here's a fun little card I made with the new My Creative Time Stitched Junky Jar Dies.  To make it, I folded a piece of kraft cardstock in half, and lay the die on top of it so that the left side of the die was to the left of the crease.  This created the card shape.  Then I cut it again in cream cardstock and adhered that jar on top of the card.  I added the little "fabric" piece made with some red plaid paper and the lid and handle, cut from silver paper from The Paper Company.

To make my scissors, I die cut them from MCT's Chunky Jar Accessories twice from black cardstock.  After adhering them together, I added Glossy Accents to the top to make them more realistic.  My cute little buttons were made with MCT's Stitched Button Dies.

On the inside of the card I added another lid and "fabric" piece.  The "fabric" piece is not symmetrical, so when I cut it, I put the back side of the paper toward my die.  Then I was able to line it up perfectly.  The fun sentiment is from Chunky Jar Accessories.

This card is really teeny (about 2 1/4", so I made my own little 2 1/2" envelope using my Silhouette Cameo.  I then added a label from Chunky Jar Accessories so that I could write the recipients name.  I don't think I will ever tire of this new release!!!

Mixer Thank You Card

Here's one last thank you note that I made for a student who gave me a fun gift of a chocolate chip cookie mix, a Valentine dish towel, and an adorable cookie shaped spatula.  When I saw this mixer cut from "A Little Hut," I knew it would be perfect!  I layered it on top of a doily cut with the My Creative Time Stitched Doily Die and then added a sentiment from MCT's Chunky Jar Accessories.  I love how we can use die cuts to really personalize cards!

Valentine Thank You

I was a very lucky teacher this year to get lots of plants and beautiful bouquets of flowers from my students for Valentine's Day.  To show my appreciation, I whipped up some simple cards to send to them.  My card base is my favorite for making student thank you notes:  Recollections 3.5" x 4.8" cards and envelopes.  I love the smaller size and the embossing on them!

I used the My Creative Time Stitched Scallop Heart Die Set to make my patterned hearts and topped them with a cork heart made with the MCT Stitched Button Dies, tied with a little Thin Hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  The sentiment is from MCT's Chunky Jar Accessories.

I had fun using different scraps to change up the look of the various cards!
