Birthday Wishes

Here's a card I made for a good friend who is celebrating her birthday today!  I used a kraft card base and added streamers and balloons using Papertrey Ink's Birthday Style Stamp Set and Dies.

The adorable frame and arrow were made with My Creative Time's Stitched Mini Frame & Arrow Dies, and the fun sentiment is from MCT's It's All About You stamp set!

First Communion Card and Box

My little niece Mary celebrated her First Communion this weekend.  We got her a pretty little bracelet, so I made a box to package it in.  The coordinating card was made with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, cut at 5.5".  I added a layer with some pretty silver paper and another with sparkly white paper (sorry, I don't know who makes these).  I embossed the white layer with the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder before adhering it together.

This cut is from the Cricut Something to Remember cartridge.  I cut it at 2.88".  To give the chalice a realistic look, I cut it with the silver paper, and then embossed it with Papertrey Ink's Tin Type Impression Plate.  A little Imaginisce gem finished off the flower.

I got the cut for the Cross Favor Box at the Silhouette Online Store.

MCT Thrifty Thursday

It's Thrifty Thursday with My Creative Time, and we are trying to use up our scraps!  I'm always happy to do that, since my Sterilite 6-Drawer Craft Cart is completely dedicated to scraps.  I use two of the 12x12 drawers for patterned scraps, one for holiday patterns, one for shades of red, orange, and yellow cardstock, one for shades of green, blue, and purple cardstock, one for neutral cardstock, and the last one for 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" pieces of cardstock that can be used for card bases.

For my card today, I used a sentiment from the new MCT I'm Here for You Rain or Shine stamp set and then set up a scene to match!

For the scene, I pulled out some of the latest My Creative Time dies and ran them through my Vagabond with some scraps that looked good together.  The adorable umbrella was made with the Stitched Umbrella Die, and the flowers were made with the Stitched Daisy Die.  The cute little leaves were made with the Stitched Leaves Dies.  I machine stitched some curvy lines along the bottom of the card to add some interest.

Of course, this card wouldn't be complete without some clouds.  Luckily the dies from Fly Away With Me were the perfect match!

Be sure to stop by My Creative Time to see what thrifty projects Emma and the rest of the design team have to share with you today!

Floral Fun!

This card was inspired by the blossoms on the plum trees that are in our area.  I love the soft pink with the scarlet color in the center!  To make this card, I started by cutting a branch and leaves from the Cricut Straight From the Nest cartridge, at 2 1/2".  I ran the leaves through my Vagabond with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

My flowers were made with the Papertrey Ink Notched Flower Dies and stamped with PTI's Funky Florals stamp set.  I popped a couple of them up with dimensional adhesive.

The pretty background paper that I used is from Echo Park's Bundle of Joy:  Girl 6 x 6 pack, which you can find at Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  I'm loving the patterns in the two Bundle of Joy packs; they aren't just for baby!  This beautiful sentiment is from My Creative Time's More of My Favorite Sayings stamp set.
