MCT Thoughtful Thursday

It's Thoughtful Thursday with My Creative Time, and we are sharing cards with thoughtful sentiments. "Thanks" counts, right?  It's always thoughtful to send a thank you note when somebody does something nice for you!

I had fun using lots of different My Creative Time products to make my card for today.  The flowers are made with shapes from the Build a Banner Kit and stamped with the letters from Anyday Bingo & Crossword.  The stems were made with a die from the Stitched Daisy Die.  Can you tell where I got those little leaves?  They are the ears off of the bunny from To My Best Peep!  To make my grass, I used my ekSuccess Bumpy Roads Edger Punch.

Of course I had to add some adorable stitched clouds made with one of the Fly Away With Me Dies.

I used my new toy to make a coordinating envelope!  I just got the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.  It was awesome for this project!  I started by making all of my flowers and then determined that my card would need to be 7" wide.  So I looked at the chart on the board and found the sizing for an envelope for a 4" x 7" card.  I love the flexibility this tool gives me!

Be sure to stop by My Creative Time to see what Emma and rest of the design team have to share with you today!

Happy Summer Note Cards

I had to make a bunch of thank you notes for my students quickly, so I pulled out my Papertrey Ink Flipping Out stamps and dies.  These flip flops scream SUMMER to me!  I used my Scor-Pal to emboss a frame.  For this one, I used striped paper from Simple Stories' Harvest Lane collection.

I used Echo Park's A Perfect Summer for the cute cherry print.

And lastly, I used Celebrate from Authentique for this fun pattern.

Beach Umbrella Card

Here's a fun little summer card for you.  It's sized at 5" x 3 3/4".  I used some blue grid paper from the Simple Stories SN@P Just the Basics collection and added some sand patterned paper from my scraps. The cute little clouds were made with the My Creative Time Fly Away With Me Dies.

I used my favorite summertime stamp set, MCT's Have Fun in the Sun, to make my sentiment.

MCT's Stitched Umbrella Die works great for a beach umbrella, if you leave off the curved handle.  Echo Park's Scoot collection has the perfect bright summer colors!

Kids' Post-It Holders

Last Friday was our last day of school, and I made a little post-it note holder for each of my students.  I surveyed them ahead of time on their favorite colors, sports, and animals so that I could personalize each one.  I learned how to make these a couple of years ago through a great tutorial from Made by Momo.  The video I've linked has a few different projects in it, but you'll see the Post-it holder at around 6 1/2 minutes into the video.

Here are some of the ones I made.  I'll list below each pic where the cut and embossing folders are from.

Monkey:  Cricut Create a Critter & Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers
Dog:  Cricut Boys Will be Boys & Cuttlebug Honeycomb

Wolf:  Cricut Noah's ABCs & Cuttlebug Seeing Spots
Elephant:  Cricut Noah's ABCs & Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers

Penguin:  Cricut Noah's ABCs & Cuttlebug Spots & Dots

I packaged each one in a cellophane bag.

I then added a cute little tag made with My Creative Time's Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies, stamped with a sentiment from All Around Everything & an image from All Around Everything Accessories.
