MCT Designer Challenge

Welcome to the My Creative Time Designer Challenge!  Today Glora has challenged us to make a Thanksgiving themed project. I am READY to move on from Halloween projects to ones with pretty fall colors, so  I was excited for this challenge.  I started this card by layering some pretty patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods collection onto a black layer and my cream card base.  To make some grass, I trimmed some green cardstock with my Martha Stewart Icicle Punch.

This cute basket is a cut from the Silhouette Online Store.  I rotated the horizontal slats 90 degrees on my mat so that the wood would all cut along the grain.  The wood patterned paper is from Simple Stories Take a Hike collection..  The cute little sentiment is from My Creative Time's Postcard Add-Ons and is stamped on a circle made with MCT's Build a Banner Kit.  A little May Arts Natural Twine String added some extra interest.  I filled the basket with lots of cute leaves made with the leaf dies from Piles of Smiles and All Around Holidays.

This cute little sentiment is from the new Teeny Tag Holidays, stamped on tags made with the Teeny Tag Layering Dies.

Be sure to stop by Emma's blog to see Glora's project and more Thanksgiving projects from Emma and the rest of the design team.  And don't forget to join in the challenge!  I can't wait to see your Thanksgiving creations!

Spooky Good Time Card

Are you ready for Halloween tomorrow?  I've got one last Halloween card to share.  Couldn't leave out anybody in the family!  Today's card again used patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Wicked collection.  I pulled out my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch to add a fun border too.

This adorable ghost and "spooky" die cut are from My Creative Time's Stitched Spooky Ghost Dies.  The sentiment and patch on the ghost are from MCT's Fright Night stamp set.  So fun!

I couldn't resist adding another scratch and sniff pumpkin to this card too, using Papertrey Ink's Scent-imentals stamps and dies.  Click here for more info on this technique.

Okay, it's time for me to put away the Halloween products until next year!  Have a great one!

Spooky Cat

I've got another Halloween card to share today!  This one is for my 6 and 9-year-old nieces.  I used the My Mind's Eye Wicked 6x6 pack for my patterned paper.

This adorable kitty is from the Silhouette Online Store.  I think it's so cute!  To make this card interactive, I added a scratch and sniff element.  The pumpkin and little arrow die are from Papertrey Ink's Scent-imentals.  I stamped the pumpkin first in ink, and then I heat embossed clear embossing powder mixed with pumpkin pie spice (see this post for more detailed directions).

My cute little sentiments were made with My Creative Time stamps and dies.  I used the new Teeny Tag Holidays and the Teeny Tag Dies to make the tag, and I added a little enamel dot from the MME Wicked  collection.  The round cut was made with the Build a Banner Kit and stamped with a sentiment and image from Postcard Add-Ons.  I can't get enough of those little round sentiments!
