MCT Made in Minutes Monday

We're sharing a new feature on My Creative Time today:  Made in Minutes Monday!  We're challenging ourselves to make quick and easy projects.  I don't know about you, but my projects don't usually tend to be quick.  I was pretty proud to get this one finished in 25 minutes!  You can see how I did it, using lots of fun My Creative Time stamps and dies, in the video below.

Be sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what she and the rest of the design team have to share with you today!

Get Well Soon!

Here's a fun little get well card using lots of My Creative Time products and the My Mind's Eye Rosy 6x6 patterned paper collection.  It's a 4x4 card, and I used my sewing machine to stitch the 3 1/2" square newspaper print to the 3 3/4" square black cardstock.

The file folder was made with the Stitched File Folder & Index Card Dies, and I added a little "piece of paper" sticking out of it, made with one of the dies from the Square Stitched Goody Dies.  Then I added an envelope made with the Mini Stitched Envelope Die, topped with a button made with one of the Button Dies and tied with a bit of hemp.  Lastly, I stamped the typewriter and a sentiment from Once Upon a Time..., fussy cut it, and popped it up with some dimensional adhesive.  Fun!

Bookmarks!

Last week my design team sister Teri Beri inspired me with the bookmarks she was making, so I thought it would be fun to whip some up for family members (and one for me, of course)!  I recently got the Papertrey Ink Notched Hearts Banner Dies, and the heart/dot cut-out pattern makes the design already made!  The long and narrow shape of the dies also make them perfect for a bookmark.  I just added We R Memory Keepers Eyelets, thin hemp, and felt hearts made with the My Creative Time Stitched Heart Layering Dies.  The ends of the hemp are sandwiched between two hearts with some hot glue.

For a boy's bookmark, I just used the back layer of the banner die, cutting it once with cardstock and once with patterned paper.  This paper is from an older October Afternoon collection, Campfire.  I die cut three stars out of the patterned paper using the smallest star from the My Creative Time 3 Star Stitched Dies, and then used that same die to cut stars out of yellow, red, and orange cardstock, nestling them back into the bookmark.  The larger felt stars were cut with this same die, and the smaller one was cut with the star from MCT's All Around Holidays.

This last one, for my brother-in-law, who loves to camp and backpack, uses the same Campfire patterned paper.  I used a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Summer Camp and added a little border with the ekSuccess Zig Zag Punch.
