MCT 36th Edition Release Blog Hop

Are you ready?  It's hopping and shopping day!  All of the wonderful My Creative Time stamps and dies that we have been sneaking this week can now be purchased!  If you just happened upon my blog, you might want to head over to Emma's blog, which is the beginning of the hop.

I had so much fun making my little card today!  I'm in charge of planning monthly Happy Hours for the staff at my school, and I thought this would be really cute to hang in our workroom with the details for our October get-together. 

It's an A2 size card, and I used the larger rectangle from the new Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More to make my beautiful stitched frame.  I love how with even tone-on-tone, it just give the card a little extra something!  My drinks were made with dies from an older MCT set, Stitched Cocktail Party Dies.  I just adore these, especially the little cocktail pick!

Isn't the witch's broom adorable?  That's from Emma's awesome new set of Halloween dies, Wicked Fun Dies.  These are the best!  All so cute!!!  And then, my favorite sentiment, from the new Trick or Treat stamp set.  It just makes me laugh.

MCT September Sneak Peek #4

It's our last day of September My Creative Time Sneak Peeks!  Isn't this the best release?  Tomorrow you can put in your orders!  Today we are sneaking a fabulous new stamp and die set called All You Need is Coffee.  This one is just too cute!!!

For my card today I thought it would be fun to make a little "shelf" full of coffee mugs!  To do so, I made a frame using the smaller of the two rectangle dies from the Stitched Rechtangle Frame Dies & More set that is also being released tomorrow.  I also used these dies to create some "shelves."  I used my Scor-Pal to make scor lines on the background to give it the look of bead board.  The mugs were all made with one of the dies from All You Need is Coffee.  I heat embossed coordinating patterns on two of them with clear embossing powder, and then I inked all of them with some Ranger Distress Inks.

This set comes up with a couple of word dies in Emma's beautiful handwriting, and they coordinate with some stamps.  That's how I got this cute little sentiment!

MCT September Sneak Peek #3

It's another day of sneak peeks for the September My Creative Time release, and today we have a beautiful new stamp and die set called A Thankful Heart, which is perfect to your fall and Thanksgiving projects.

This set comes with four beautiful leaf dies, and I used three of them on my card today.  I just love how they include embossing of the veins.  I cut them out of white cardstock and then inked them up with some distress inks, which really made the embossing stand out.  I added a little button made with the Button Dies and attached all of them to some burlap from the DCWV Burlap Paper Stack.  Here's a hint if you have this stack and prefer a more frayed burlap look:  you can actually pull the burlap right off the paper backing!

Besides the leaf dies, there is also a die of the word "grateful" that pairs with different words to create sentiments, like I did here.  There are many other sentiments in this set as well.  It's really a terrific set for the fall season!

MCT September Sneak Peek #2

Did you love all of the My Creative Time sneak peeks yesterday?  Well today, we are sneaking two adorable Halloween sets!  You will love these!!!  For my card, I started with a limeade ice 3 1/2" x 5" card base and stamped the stripe border from the Geo Borders stamp set down the right side.  Then I added a white layer that was cut at 3 3/16" x 5".

These adorable witch shoes are from the new Wicked Fun Dies.  This is a fabulous set, full of the cutest Halloween shapes and phrases and even some coordinating sentiments!  The fabulous sentiment I used on my card is from the new Trick or Treat stamp set.  I just love this one too!  It has so many fantastic sentiments!
