Made in Minutes Monday

It's Made in Minutes Monday with My Creative Time!  This weekend I had breakfast at my brother's house and spent some time dying Easter eggs with his family.  Since I won't be seeing them on Easter, I wanted to bring my nephews a little treat.  This little tag was quick and easy to make and dressed up the Peeps package perfectly!

I used the Just Tags dies to make my tag base and added some grass made with the Stitched Grass Die.  The sentiment is from To a Cute Little Chickie. The chick was made with a stamp and coordinating die from this same set.  I stamped it with Verafine black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I then watercolored him with some Tim Holtz distress inks.  The little eggs were made with dies from Hello Chickie!

I made a purple chick on the tag to match the purple peeps.

Happy Engagement!

A good friend of mine recently got engaged!  I made this card for her using the Papertrey Ink Man & Wife dies and a sentiment from PTI's Just a Kiss.  That polka-dot vellum is from the new PTI Sheer Basics Vellum Patterned Paper collection.  I just love it!

MCT Scrapping the Little Things

It's Scrapping the Little Things with My Creative Time!  Recently one of my friends posted some pics of her son in the ER on Facebook just after a skateboarding accident.  He's fine, just needed some stitches, but it made me think of a biking accident my son had when he was around the same age, and his injuries were in the same spots.  I never had scrapped that story, so I pulled out those pics and got to work!

The patterned papers I used on this layout are from a Close to My Heart collection called Typeset.  I used the Uppercase Fun Dies and Lowercase Fun Dies to make my title and the Stitched Circle Tab Die with a Circle Tab Die Sentiment to make the little element sticking off of the top picture.

The "All Boy" sentiment is from the Life is Good stamp set.  I thought it went well with one of the Stitched Restroom Peeps, and a few of the Stitched Chevy Dies worked well as arrows!

To continue my title, I added an ampersand made with one of the Social Media Dies and spelled out "the aftermath" with stamps from Alpha Pack.  I used one of the Tag Die Layers for my journaling.  To give a visual triangle on the layout, I added some yellow elements with circles.  That's where the view master came in to play, made with the What a View die.

Lastly, I added a bike made dies from Way to Go and paired it with a funny sentiment from that same set, stamped on a little "hill" I made with the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies.

MCT 41st Edition Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the My Creative Time 41st Edition Anniversary Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the very talented Jessica.  If you just happened upon here, you might want to head over to Emma's blog, to the beginning of the hop.  This is a very fun release, and I hope you are as excited about it as we are!

For my first project today, I made a card using the gerber daisy from Love YOU Bunches.  I stamped it in Black Versafine Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I then watercolored it using some Tim Holtz distress inks.  The rectangles were all die cut with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies, and I embossed my card base with the new Circle Stitching Pattern Dies.

The sentiment is also from Love YOU Bunches, stamped on a tag made with dies from the new Fun Stitched Tag Dies set!

For my second project, I made some fun stacked boxes that I found in the Silhouette Online Store.  I decorated the top box with pretty flowers using the new Jr. Rolled Flower Dies, along with leaves from the Stitched Pretty Flower & Leaves Dies.

I love the new rolled flower dies.  They are so adorable in the smaller sizes!

Here's a closer look at the new sets I used on today's projects.  They are available for purchase now in the My Creative Time Store
