MCT Tutorial Thursday - Iron Off Embossing

It's Tutorial Thursday with My Creative Time!  Today I thought I'd make a video showing how to do the iron-off embossing technique I used in one of my sneak peek cards last week.  Watch the video below to learn how!

Happy Halloween!

Here's my last Halloween card for this year.  I found this patterned paper with the cute text moon from one of my old favorite Halloween collections, My Mind's Eye's Mischievous.  I die cut it and an orange layer with the My Creative Time Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and mounted them to my card base.  I then die cut "happy" from the MCT Happy Everything stamp and die set and stamped "Halloween" from that set onto a label made with one of the Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  Lastly, I added a few bats and a spider made with dies from Wicked Fun.  I coated these with Glossy Accents to give them some shine.  I hope you all have a happy Halloween!!!

Mummy Kisses!

This was a fun little Halloween card to make.  I used the biggest circle from My Creative Time's Bunch of Fun Circle Dies to make my circle, masked off the bottom section with a post-it, and then inked up the top with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Tea Dye to get a sunset glow.  Then I masked off the top portion and inked the bottom with Black Soot to make the street.  I stamped the sentiment and spider from MCT's Too Cute to Spook.

Next I die cut the ghost and mummy from Too Cute to Spook out of watercolor paper.  I painted them with a combination of distress ink and Zig Clean Color Real brush pens before adhering them to the circle.  I made my card base with the fun scalloped shape from Bunch of Fun Circles.

MCT 48th Edition Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 48th Edition Release Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the very talented Jessica.  If you just happened upon here, you might want to head over to Emma's blog, to the beginning of the hop.  This is a very fun release, and I hope you are as excited about it as we are!

My project today features the freebie for this release, Bestie Die (see more about how YOU can get this below).  To make my tag I used the Just Tag Dies, and then used the Bestie Die to cut out "Bestie" 7 times:  in white and every color of the rainbow!  I adhered them to the tag slightly offset so the rainbow would show through.  "To my" was stamped with a sentiment from last month's Holiday Tags stamp and die set.  I also added a few stars made with dies from 4X4 Journal Die + More.

Our "Freebie" for this release is this adorable "Bestie" die.  It will be given to the FIRST 150 shoppers!  If you are one of the first 150 shoppers, it will be automatically added to your package at the time of packaging/shipping.  Once the first 150 shoppers come through, the die will be available for purchase.  So if it's for sale in the store, you are not one of the 150.  No exceptions will be made.  This freebie die is not a part of the "bundle" and will be sold separately!
