MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 1

Welcome to My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas!  We've got lots of fun projects for you this week, just in time to get your creative juices flowing for Christmas!  Today I made a Ghirardelli Chocolate dispenser!  I found this box designed by Debbie Olson on her blog, and I thought it was so clever!  I decided to recreate it in Silhouette Studio, so that I could make more whenever I wanted to.  If you are interested in the file, you can download it here.

The paper I used for my box is from Echo Park's Reflections Christmas collection, and I tied it up with some Stamping' Up! ribbon.  I added a few snowflakes to the front, cut with the MCT Winter Flake Dies.  The sentiment is from the Holiday Tags set, stamped on an oval from Scallop Stitched Oval Dies.  I used some Mixed Media {101} Ultra Thin Cherry Sheets layered on a couple of ovals of cardstock to make it more dimensional.  The holly is also from Holiday Tags.

Bookmark and Book Gift Card

My sister is a big reader, so I thought it would be fun to make her a bookmark and get her an Amazon gift card for her birthday and create a cute card to go with them!  I used Papertrey Ink's Bibliophile stamp and die sets to make the books on my cards.  I love this set!  There are a lots of great quotes included, along with just fun sayings, like the one I spelled out on my card.  I added a teacup that I cut with the Cricut Love You a Latte cartridge and some embossed heart "steam" made with a die from My Creative Time's All You Need is Coffee.

On the inside of the card, I used MCT's Stitched Gift Card Pocket to hold the gift card.

I used PTI's Stitched Bookmark Dies to make my bookmark, stamping a quote from Bibliophile onto rustic cream cardstock to make the innermost layer.  I stitched the whole thing together with ECRU DMC embroidery floss, sewing in a little PTI topnotch twill ribbon at the top.

Thankful Treats

I finally had some free time after finishing up report cards this past weekend, so I took advantage of it to make up a few treat boxes for some coworkers.  I just love the My Creative Time Treat Slider Box die, and it's been too long since I last used it!  I decorated it with some pretty leaves cut with dies from the MCT A Thankful Heart Set, inking up the edges with distress inks.  I used some woodgrain paper for some of the leaves, and I really like how that turned out.  The tag was made with a die from Chunky Jar Accessories, and the sentiment is from Piles of Smiles.

Inside the box are some Hershey's Nuggets wrapped in patterned paper cut with more dies from the Treat Slider Box set!

I want to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends in the U.S.!

Ballet Birthday Card

I had another student birthday in my class last week, and this one was a girl who loves ballet.  I found the perfect cut in the Silhouette Online Store!  I made a frame for the background using the new My Creative Time Be Your Best Selfie Dies.  For my sentiment, I made a little frame using one of the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies, and then stamped the sentiment, from Celebrate Good Times, along with some teeny tiny hearts from Hello Baby.  Super easy, and she loved it!
