MCT What a Treat Wednesday

It's What a Treat Wednesday with My Creative Time, and today I thought it would be fun to use the new Spooky Time stamp and die set to decorate a Halloween treat bag!  I made my bag using the die from the Chalkboard Birthday set and paper from the My Mind's Eye Wicked collection.  I then used one of the rectangles from the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies set, running it through my Vagabond a second time to trim off a bit of the edge to make a rectangle just the right size for the sentiment from Spooky Time.  I added a few bats made with the dies from this set, some Papertrey Ink ribbon, a little tissue paper, and that was it!  Very easy and fun!

21st Birthday Card

My baby turned 21 this month!  This is the card that I made for him.  I used the Papertrey Ink Just a Number stamp set for the sentiment.  I love how this has lots of different fonts and you can put it all together and stamp it in different colors!  The white base was die cut with one of the My Creative Time Stitched Square Dies Inside & Out.  And I cut the beer bottle with my Silhouette Cameo, using a cut I found in the Silhouette Online Store.

On the inside I added a beer stein that came in the same Silhouette cut, along with a sentiment from MCT's Class & Fabulous.

The "Write" Stuff

This was a fun, quick and easy card to create.  I used Papertrey Ink's Pencil Me In stamp set and dies to make the sweet little pencil, the sentiment, and the stars.  The binder paper is from the Pencil Me In patterned paper pack, but I trimmed it with the notebook paper die from My Creative Time's Fun Stitched Edges Dies, to really give it a fun look!  I mounted the whole thing on a black card base, and that was it!

MCT "Do Over" Thursday!

It's "Do Over" Thursday with My Creative Time, a day to look at a card you made in the past that maybe you don't like so much and give it a new twist!  I made the card below a couple of months ago, and I just do not like it.  The color for the card base makes me think of a hospital, and the coloring of the flower did not work out so well on that cardstock.

So, for my new card, I still used the awesome Fun Notes stamp and die set, but I changed "thanks" to "hugs."  Then I switched up my flower by using the Stitched Daisy Die.  And I gave my background more interest by cutting some color blocks with the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies and the Stitched Square Dies Inside & Out.  Same idea, but a whole new look!

Back to School Postcard

It's the first day of school for me today!  This is the postcard I made this year to send to each of my third graders last week, welcoming them to my classroom.  For the background I used My Creative Time's Fun Stitched Cloud Dies, along with the More Stitched Edges to make the hill.  The cute little schoolhouse was made with the Papertrey Ink Tiny Town:  School Die.  I also used PTI's Back to School stamp set for the sentiment.  Fingers crossed for a great school year!
