MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 3

Have you been loving all of the Christmas inspiration from the My Creative Time team this week?  I know I have been!  Today we are all making cards for you, and I just had to pull out our latest stamp and die set, No Peeking!  I absolutely love this stocking die!  I die cut it using some cute plaid paper from the Carta Bella Christmas Delivery collection and heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.  The pretty pine boughs were made with dies from Fun Stitched Ornaments & More.  Of course I had to dress up the background by using one of the Postage Frame Dies and one of the dies from Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More.  This was a pretty quick card to make - it would be easy to mass produce!

MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 2

It's Day 2 of My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas, and today I have a fun little treat box to share with you.  The Bubblegum Treat Box Die will always be a favorite of mine, and with this striped paper, I think it makes the perfect Christmas treat!  I decorated it with a doily made with one of the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies and stamped it with a sentiment from Teeny Tag Holidays.  Those adorable mittens were made with dies from Winter Cheer!

MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 1

Welcome to My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas!  We've got lots of fun projects for you this week, just in time to get your creative juices flowing for Christmas!  Today I made a fun tag, using one of the Stitched Postage Frame Dies to create my frame base.  I then used my favorite Fun Stitched Ornaments & More set to make a few tree boughs and a cool 3-D ornament!  To make the ornament, I die cut it three times, scored each in the middle and adhered them together to give it that dimension.  "Joy" was made with a die from Holiday Tags.

Happy Bird-Day

Over the summer I went to the Hero Arts Factory Store with a friend, and I picked up the cute Birds and Branches stamp set while I was there.  I love the whimsical birds and trees in it!  I stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder onto some Strathmore Bristol Cardstock that I had cut with a My Creative Time Stitched Postage Frame Die.  Then I had lots of fun coloring the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens!  The sentiment is from MCT's Tweet Me.

Piggy Birthday Card

I have another birthday card for a student to share today!  I have fun making these, asking my kids ahead of time what their favorite animals and colors are and then finding the perfect cuts to use with my Cricut or Cameo.  For today's card, I found a pig for Pierce on the Cricut Noah's ABC Animals cartridge and a party hat on the Straight From the Nest cartridge.  For the background, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using one of the My Creative Time Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and cut it in half with one of the MCT More Stitched Edges Dies. I then inked up the two parts using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in the colors listed below.  I also spritzed the pieces with the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to give them that distressed look.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Bash Sentiments stamp set.
