MCT Inspire Me Wednesday

It's Inspire Me Wednesday with My Creative Time, a day to make something based on something that has inspired you!  I saw a cute little card on Pinterest that sparked my creativity and led me to make this Valentine's Day card.

To start creating this card, I found a mailbox cut in the Silhouette Online Store and pulled it into Silhouette Studio, where I modified it a bit so that I could add my own touches to it.  After I cut it, I added "Love," made with one of the MCT Mini Greetings and a couple of cute envelopes from Fun Tweet Me Dies.  I also added hearts made with the 4X4 Journal Die + More, which I colored with my Zig Wink of Stella Glitter Clear Brush Pen to give them a little sparkle.

The background of my card was made with Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock, and I cut it down with one of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies before blending on some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Broken China.  I squirted on some water using the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to give it that distressed look.  I then added a sentiment from Love is In the Air, grass made with the Stitched Grass Die, and a sweet little bird made with the Tweet Me stamp set and Fun Tweet Me Dies.

Hope You are Back on Your Feet

I couldn't resist getting the Papertrey Ink Take It Easy stamp set and dies, along with the Cozy Bed Dies.  Don't they just make the cutest get well card?  The Cozy Bed Dies include the bed, sheets, quilt, and pillow.  Take It Easy is full of cute sentiments and lots of images with coordinating dies that can go on the bed.  I used the pajamas and newspaper to make a get well theme, but there are is also a  breakfast tray and other fun items to go in a totally different direction!

MCT 63rd Edition Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the My Creative Time 63rd Edition Release Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the very talented Jessica.  If you just happened upon here, you might want to head over to Emma's blog, to the beginning of the hop.  This is a very fun release, and I hope you are as excited about it as we are!

For my project today, I used the new Treat Pouch Die to make my sweet little treat holder.  I ran it through my Vagabond with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and then got to work embellishing it.  First, I die cut a doily out of regular white printer paper, using one of the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies.  Next, I took the smaller of the Treat Label Dies and die cut a patterned paper label and a white label.  But, I took the white one, and used the straight edge die from More Stitched Edges, to trim off part of the die cut, leaving just the white banner shape you see in the picture.  I then stamped my sentiment, from Puffy Hearts Just for You, and adhered this onto the flowered label.  A few little hearts from 4x4 Journal Die + More finished off the project!

MCT 63rd Edition Release Sneak Peek #2

Are you ready for another day of My Creative Time sneak peeks?  Today we have two more die sets to share with you!  The first is the cutest little treat box, called Treat Holder Die.  And the second is a darling set of dies called Small Treat Labels, which is our freebie this month!  It will be given free to our first 75 shoppers beginning at 8 AM PST this Friday!  It includes a die, plus a layering die!

For my project today, I used the new Treat Holder Die to make a container to hold a bag of tasty peppermint M&Ms.  I had some cellophane bags leftover from when I made cake pops one time, and they are the perfect size for packaging up goodies to put in this treat box!

I used the new Small Treat Labels to embellish my box, cutting out the smaller label in white and the larger in brown.  I love the way my sentiment stretches across the banner shape of this die cut!  The sentiment is from the Puffy Hearts Just for You stamp set.  I then added a little rainbow of hearts made with a die from 4x4 Journal Die + More.
