MCT "5 Days of Christmas" - Day 5

Good morning!  It's our last day of the My Creative Time 5 Days of Christmas.  We hope you have enjoyed everything you have seen this week!

For my project today, I made a cute little treat box using the Treat Holder Die.  This is the perfect sized die for giving a loved one some goodies for Christmas!  I decorated it with the Small Treat Labels, stamping on a sentiment from Mini Christmas Greetings.  That cute little reindeer was made with the Mini Lolly Add-Ons set.

5 Days of Christmas - Day 4

Good morning!  You are in a treat this week for our 5 Days of Christmas.  You will see tons of AMAZING ideas, from tags to treats, cards to gift holders, etc., to get your holidays off to a "crafty" good start!  We all hope you enjoy everything you will see this week!

Today the team is making gift card holders, and I thought I'd try something a little different.  I recently got a Cricut Maker, so I've been trying to teach myself how to sew.  I didn't use the Maker for this project, but I did use my sewing machine to make this little drawstring pouch.  Before sewing it together, I used the deer die from All is Calm and "believe" from Holiday Tag Dies to die cut from Cricut iron-on lite and glitter iron-on.  To do this, I used my Vagabond, and place the iron-on material with the liner side up.  This is opposite of what you would do if you were using an electronic die-cut machine, because in that case, you would do a mirror-image of your cut.  Since you can't do that with a wafer- thin die, you have to cut completely through, liner and all, and you don't want to end up with a backwards image.

After I die cut my images, I was able to use my Cricut Easy Press to adhere them to my fabric (an iron would work as well).

Now I've got a cute little pouch that can be filled with a gift card, along with some little treats!

MCT "5 Days of Christmas" - Day 3

Good morning!  You are in a treat this week for our 5 Days of Christmas.  You will see tons of AMAZING ideas, from tags to treats, cards to gift holders, etc., to get your holidays off to a "crafty" good start!  We all hope you enjoy everything you will see this week!

For my project today, I made card using the sweet snowman from the Cute Snowman Gift Tag Die.  I thought he would be perfect paired with a "Let it snow" sentiment, so I made one with the Alpha Pack Stamps, stamping the letters onto one of the Gingerbread Banners.  To make the poles for my little snowman to hold up the banner, I found the perfect die in Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves.

For the background, I made a rectangle using one of the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder.  Lastly, I die cut the perfect section of snow, using one of the Fun Stitched Edges Dies.

MCT "5 Days of Christmas" - Day 2

Good morning!  You are in a treat this week for our 5 Days of Christmas.  You will see tons of AMAZING ideas, from tags to treats, cards to gift holders, etc., to get your holidays off to a "crafty" good start!  We all hope you enjoy everything you will see this week!

For my project today, I made a pretty treat box using some of my favorite MCT products!  For the box itself, I used the Long Treat Die with some Papertrey Ink Sheer Basics Vellum Patterned Paper.

I made this adorable tag using the new Cute Snowflake Gift Tag Die.  I'm in love with these tag dies that open as little cards!  I stamped the front with a sentiment from Mini Christmas Greetings.

MCT "5 Days of Christmas" - Day 1

Good morning!  You are in a treat this week for our 5 Days of Christmas.  You will see tons of AMAZING ideas, from tags to treats, cards to gift holders, etc., to get your holidays off to a "crafty" good start!  We all hope you enjoy everything you will see this week!

For my project today, I made a few ornaments for my Christmas tree!  I had purchased some wood slices for a craft project to do with my students, and I had some extra.  I thought they would pair perfectly with some MCT dies to make some adorable ornaments!

I decorated the first one, using one of the MCT Winter Flake Dies.  Couldn't be any easier!

For this one, I decorated it with one of my favorite MCT dies, the ice-skate from Winter Cheer!  I love how this die cuts holes, allowing for real twine to be laced through!

Lastly, I decorated this one with dies from Holiday Tags.

Welcome to the My Creative Time 73rd Edition Release Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the very talented Jessica.  If you just happened upon here, you might want to head over to Emma's blog, to the beginning of the hop.  This is a very fun release, and I hope you are as excited about it as we are!

For my project today, I made a fun little K-cup holder, using a Lori Whitlock design that I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I couldn't resist it after finding some Starbucks Hot Chocolate pods for the Keurig!  After assembling it, I used the new Hot Chocolate Season set to decorate it.  I stamped the hot cocoa mug on white cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating die, and then I also stamped it onto a piece of patterned paper so that I could paper piece it.  The three little white hearts were made with dies from this set.  I finished it off with one of  the cute sentiments, stamping it onto a tag made with one of the Stitched Zig Zag Tag Dies.  Lastly, I added some Papertrey Ink Aqua Mist Twill Ribbon and a little twine to tie it all together!

Here's a closer look at the Hot Chocolate Season.  It is available now in the My Creative Time Store

Starting THIS Friday, November 17, 2017 @ 8AM PST, our "Freebie" for this release is the  Perfect Matcha stamp set.  It will be given to the FIRST 75 shoppers!  If you are one of the first 75 shoppers, it will be automatically added to your package at the time of packaging/shipping.  Once the first 75 shoppers come through, the set will be available for purchase.  So if it's for sale in the store, you are not one of the 75.  No exceptions will be made.  This freebie set is not a part of the "bundle" and will be sold separately!

MCT 73rd Edition Sneak Peek #3

Are you ready for another day of My Creative Time sneak peeks?  Today we are sneaking this month's freebie:  Perfect Matcha!  This is a fun set with 9 sentiments, and it's especially great if you're a fan of matcha tea.  However, there are plenty of other sentiments too, as you'll see on my card. Perfect Matcha is free with your order this Friday if you are one of the first 75 shoppers, beginning at 8 AM PST.

For my card today, I thought it would be fun to take the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Perfect Matcha and do some repeated stamping, using my Misti to help me line it up.  I used inks from Papertrey Ink in Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, Limeade Ice, Hawaiian Shores, and Winter Wisteria.  My card base, cut from PTI Stamper's Select White Cardstock, is cut at 3 1/2" x 5".

That adorable little owl is from the Grad Night set.  I took a little more time paper piecing him, but I like how he turned out.  His balloon was made with one of the Stitched Circle Balloon Dies.

Are you ready for another day of My Creative Time sneak peeks?  Today we have a sweet new stamp and die set to share called Just Brew It!  This is an adorable set full of fun coffee themed sentiments, images, and dies.

It's never too early to start thinking about holiday gifts!  Today I put together a cute card that holds a gift card for somebody who has been helping me a lot this year.  The sentiment and adorable coffee cup on the front are from Just Brew It!  I love that coffee cup!  I stamped it in white, kraft, and red patterned paper, so that I could paper piece it.  The sweet snowman was made with the Winter Snowman Dies.  I also used one of the More Stitched Rectangular Dies for the background, along with one of the Fun Stitched Edges Dies for the snow.

On the inside of the card I made my gift card holder, using the Tag Gift Pocket Die, and I stamped it with another fun sentiment from Just Brew It!

This set is full of adorable sentiments and really cute images with coordinating dies.  For my project today,  I thought it would be fun to make a cute tag to tie on to a little gift mug of teas!   For my tag base, I used one of the dies from Holiday Tags.  I die cut it once from Papertrey Ink kraft cardstock and once from some fun patterned paper from the Simple Stores Harvest Love collection.

The sentiment and adorable coffee cup, complete with tea bag tag are from Hey There Cute-Tea!  I colored the cup with Inktense colored pencils.

MCT Cook 'N Craft

It's Cook 'N Craft with My Creative Time! Let's start with the crafting.  The new MCT Christmas Greetings Kit has put me in the mood to make Christmas cards!  I used the ornament and star die from the kit, along with the "string" dies to hang my ornaments.  They are a little hard to see in the photo, since I used silver paper.  The J and the Y were cut with the Uppercase Fun Dies and the pine boughs were cut with dies from Fun Stitched Ornaments & More.  I used the Scallop Stitched Square Dies for the background.

Now onto the cooking!  Since I did this all on Sunday, I made one of my favorite lunch recipes so that I could fill up some bento boxes for a few lunches for this week.  One Pot Mediterranean Quinoa with Spinach is delicious!  Click here for the recipe.

I love these bento box containers that I bought from Amazon.  They come in a set of 4 and stack nicely in my fridge.

MCT Trending Now

It's Trending Now with My Creative Time, and today we're playing with the "Sparkle and Shine" trend!  I decided to make a classy gold, black, and white birthday card.  I used one of the More Stitched Edges Dies to make my stripes.  "Happy," from Happy Everything, was layered with gold paper on top of black cardstock.  The "birthday" sentiment came from the same set.  I finished off the card with some fun Pretty Pink Posh Gold Heart Confetti.
