MCT Tag It Tuesday

It's Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time!  During our last release I made a birthday card with the new Summer Vibes stamp and die set.  I really liked how it turned out, so I decided to take the same layout and turn it into a tag!  I used the Chunky Stitched Tag Dies for the tag base. I then stamped the cute little coconut drink and summer banner onto Strathmore Bristol paper and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. "Happy" is one of the many sentiment stamps included in Summer Vibes.  "Summer" is from the A Sloth Holiday set.

Monster Birthday Card

I thought this fun monster cut from Cricut's Autumn Celebrations would be perfect for my nephew's birthday card!  I stood him upon a little banner made with My Creative Time's Vintage Stitched Label Die, and heat embossed a sentiment from MCT's Time To Celebrate stamp set.  To add a little interest, I embossed one of my background layers with the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder.

Graphic Birthday Card

I found a card in Cricut Design Space that included this fun birthday cut.  It was from the Simply Sweet cartridge, which I own, so I used it on my card, just layering it on some paper and adding a little "happy" tag using My Creative Time's Teeny Tag Layering Die and part of a sentiment from the retired Celebrate Good Times set.  The little star was made with the MCT 4x4 Journal Die + More set.

Fun with Watercolor

I was away on vacation last week, but I had some time yesterday to get started on Online Card Class's Simply Watercolor class that began last Monday.  This is a great class for learning some fun watercolor techniques!  Here are a few of the cards I've made so far:

Cherry Happy Birthday

Summertime... I've been eating a lot of cherries!  I love this cute cherry stamp and die from the My Creative Time Berry Special stamp and die set.  I stamped it onto Strathmore Bristol cardstock and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.  The sentiment is from MCT's Light the Candles stamp and die set.  To make all the layers, I used dies from MCT's Stitched Postage Frame Dies, MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies, and Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More.  I finished off the card with Simon Says Stamp's Moonshine Confetti!

MCT 81st Edition Release Blog Hop

For my project today, I dressed up the new Treat Envelope Die!  This is a great die for making envelopes for holding gifts cards (it's sized perfectly) or other treats!  I decorated mine with a pretty scalloped circle made with one of the Scalloped Stitched Circle Dies and then added one of my favorite little cakes using the Baby Cake Die!

MCT 81st Edition Release Sneak Peek #3

Are you ready for one last day of My Creative Time sneak peeks?  Today we are sneaking an awesome new die that is perfect for gift cards:   Treat Envelope Die!

I love this new die!  It comes with an extra layering piece for the inside of your envelope, so that you can give it that finished look.  You can see that I used it on my polka dot envelope.  My paper was white on the back, but I used the layer die to make the inside of the flap also be the polka dot pattern! Since this envelope was going to be holding a gift card to our local book store, I also made a bookmark to tuck inside, using the bookmark, sentiments, and stamps and from the So Many Books stamp and die set!  The sweet little stamp on my tag is also from this set, and I used dies from Mini Chalkboard Tags and Fun Stitched Tag Dies to make the tag itself.

MCT 81st Edition Release Sneak Peek #1

It's day 1 of My Creative Time's 81st Edition Sneak Peeks!  We have quite an adorable release to share with you this week!  First off are two new sets:  Baby Bump, the perfect set for making cards and tags for moms-to-be, and Baby Bump Add-On, a stamp set with some extra sentiments that will take Baby Bump even further!  Baby Bump Add-On is free with your order this Friday, July 20, 2018, if you are one of the first 50 shoppers, beginning at 8 AM PST.  Once 50 shoppers come through, it will be available for purchase.

First up today is a tag using the sweet Baby Bump set!  This set has two pregnant mama images - one is a stamp with coordinating die, and the other, which I used today, is just a die.  So fun!  There are also a ton of sentiments, one of which you can see here.  For my tag base, I used the Chunky Stitched Tag Dies.

For my second project today, I used the cute little Baby Bump Add-On stamp set.  You can create congratulate all sorts of people on an impending birth with the sentiment stamps included in this set!  I again used the Chunky Stitched Tag Dies to create my tag and added a watercolored banner from The Sky is the Limit and a cute little cow from Baby Steps.

Whimsical Smile

I love Papertrey Ink's Boho Rounds stamp set.  It's fun to just stamp with black ink and them color with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.  The sentiment I used for this card is from PTI's Signature Greetings.

MCT Inspire Me Wednesday

It's another Inspire Me Wednesday with My Creative Time!  The inspiration for today's card came from a wonderful one from the talented Liz Munoz.  I needed to make a birthday card for my brother, and I knew this one would be easy to convert to a masculine style.

I started by making a stencil with the cloud edge die from More Stitched Edges and a piece of clear cardstock and then using it to ink up with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Stormy Sky.  I then added the city skyline stamp from Let's Paint the Town and trimmed the edge with one of the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies.

The sentiments and the Superman die are from the Have a Super Day set, and the starburst shape is from Super Tag Dies.

Hedgehog Birthday Card

Here's a fun little birthday card I made for my niece.  I found the hedgehog in Cricut Design Space and used My Creative Time's Stitched Circle Balloon Dies.  The sentiment is from MCT's Time to Celebrate.  I don't know why, but that hedgehog just makes me laugh. 

Crocheted Beanie

Now that is summer vacation, I have lots of time for all of my different crafts!  I made this beanie for my friend's birthday.  I got the pattern, called the Tex Beanie from HatsbyElvee, on Etsy.  It worked up really quickly.  I used Canon Simply Soft yarn in Light Country Blue.

Of course, I needed a tag to use with my packaging.  I really need a stamp that says "crocheted," but I do not have one!  Instead I used Papertrey Ink's Just for You stamp set and Limitless Layers:  1 3/4" Circle Collection Dies, some older sets from my collection.

Birthday Card with the Cricut!

I made this card for my brother-in-law using my Cricut Maker and this week's free set in Cricut Design Space, Paper Pups!  He's such a dog lover, and I thought these images were so cute!  I wrote out a sentiment using a Cricut Marker and the Don Juan font.  The background is trimmed with one of  My Creative Times Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More to give it some more interest.

MCT Manly Monday

It's Manly Monday with My Creative Time, and I made a baby card welcoming the new little man in my friends' lives!

I used the adorable Hello Baby stamp and die set - my all time favorite set for making baby cards!  I love the giant onesie die!  Since my friends have decorated their nursery with a dinosaur theme, I die cut a cute little dinosaur with my Cricut and the Create a Critter cartridge.  The stars were all made with dies from 4x4 Journal Die + More, and I used the largest rectangles from MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies and Stitched Rectangular Dies & More for the background layers.
