MCT Tag It Tuesday

It's Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time!  We just started school this week, and I made a couple of these tags to go with little gifts for my teammates.  They were really quick to make with my MCT products!  I started with the Tag Die, cutting the white base, along with brown and patterned layers for the left side.  I then stamped the cute books from So Many Books onto Strathmore Bristol cardstock, colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, die cut them with the coordinating dies, and popped them up onto the tag with dimensional adhesive.  The sentiment is from You're All Write.  A We R Memory Keepers Wide Eyelet and a little twine finished it off!

MCT Anything Goes!

It's Anything Goes with My Creative Time!  Today I have a pick-me-up card to share that I made for a friend.  In June, I went to "The Coloring Challenge Road Trip" class with Kathy Racoosin.  While there, the sweet Maria from cardbomb.com gave each of us a little goodie bag, and this heat embossed background was in mine.  I had fun inking it up with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch for this card!  After inking up the "hugs" die cut from the Fun Notes stamp and die set, I realized it was too busy on top of the background, so I used one of the More Stitched Circles Dies to cut a circle out of the background.  That left a nice white space for the "hugs," "sending lots of," which I heat embossed on black cardstock, and a couple of hearts, which I die cut out of the negative space using heart dies from Summer Vibes.

Exploding Birthday Box

My little boy turned TWENTY-THREE last week!  Where does the time go?  I wanted to make him something a little different for his birthday card this year, and I found this cool Explosion Box Birthday Card by Lori Whitlock that I thought was super cute! I cut it using my Cricut Maker.  I dressed up the outside with a fun stamp from Papertrey Ink's In the Bag stamp set, and on top I added a die cut made with My Creative Time's Stitched Zig Zag Dies and was able to die cut my son's age using the Pretty Bold Number Dies.

Here's a look at what you see when you open the box.  The sides fall down to reveal a cake!

On one of the flaps I stamped a sentiment from MCT's Chalkboard Birthday.

MCT 82nd Edition Release Sneak Peek #4

Are you ready for one last day of My Creative Time sneak peeks?  Today we are sneaking two last sets, and they are so fun!  Coffin Treat Pocket is a fabulous die for packaging your Halloween treats, and Open if You Dare is a wonderful stamp and die set for making cute little tags that can be used with your treats or any projects!

The Coffin Treat Pocket is a great size for packaging all sorts of treats!  At my school, we can't give out candy, so Emma gave me the idea of putting little half pencils in this pocket die, and they fit perfectly!  I dressed up the pocket with a spider from the new Witchie Witchie set that we sneaked earlier this week, and everything else is from Open if You Dare - the bats, the cute tag, and the sentiment.  Open if You Dare contains 8 fabulous sentiments that fit into that tag!

MCT 82nd Edition Release Sneak Peek #3

We've got another sneak peek of the My Creative Time 82nd Edition release for you!  Today we are sneaking a new die set that is perfect for making an adorable Halloween treat:  the Witch Hat Topper Die! 

This die set is so cute and so EASY for making treat bag toppers!!!  I used all of the dies included to make my bag topper on my project here:  the witch hat, which is a double piece that folds at the top and sandwiches your bag in the middle, giving it a nice clean look from the back, the band, the buckle, and the cute spider! It would be so easy to reproduce these for a classroom or a party!  I didn't find any Halloween candy in the store to put into my bag, so I made these cute Mummy Milanos that I found on Pinterest instead!

MCT 82nd Edition Release Sneak Peek #2

Are you ready for another day of the My Creative Time 82nd Edition Release sneak peeks?  Today we have a really fun Halloween themed stamp and die set to share with you:  Witchie Witchie!

Witchie Witchie contains the cutest little tombstone die that comes with a layering die and an outline stamp, so there are multiple ways to use it!  You can see on my card I used both dies so that I could have tombstones of two different sizes, with stitching on one and the stamp on the other.  This set has other dies too, including the little "EEK" and "RIP." It also has a ton of fun sentiments that you can use on the tombstones or on any projects!  I watercolored my background and added a spooky tree stamp from the older Spooky Time set.  The little bats were made from dies from the older Wicked Fun Dies set.

MCT 82nd Edition Release Sneak Peek #1

It's day 1 of My Creative Time's 82nd Edition Sneak Peeks!  We have a fun and spooky release to share with you this week!  First off is our freebie for this month:  Pumpkin Face Die!  It is free with your order this Friday, August 17, 2018, if you are one of the first 50 shoppers, beginning at 8 AM PST.  Once 50 shoppers come through, it will be available for purchase.

I thought it would be fun to make a big pumpkin to use with this new face die, so I pulled out the Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies, and cut one of them 5 times, adhering them together.  For my stem, I used a part of the doghouse from Loyal Friends, and the leaves are from A Thankful Heart.  I even inked up the edges of all of the pieces with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  I haven't done that for a while!  I love how the Pumpkin Face Die made the perfect face for this pumpkin.  Next, I adhered the whole thing to a background made with one of the Stitched Postage Frame Dies and finished off this card with a sentiment from Spooky & Creepy Night.

MCT Inspire Me Wednesday

It's another Inspire Me Wednesday with My Creative Time!  The inspiration for today's card came from this adorable card from Lexa Levana.  How cute to have popsicles falling from the sky?  And the popsicles from Anything is Popsicle are so versatile!  They are dies, so you can use cardstock, use all of the fun layers, or have fun inking them up, like I did today with Tim Holtz Distress Inks!  I also inked up a bit of the background before adding one of the sentiments from this set.  I finished off the card with some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.

MCT Manly Monday

It's Manly Monday with My Creative Time, and today I made a little encouragement card.  I used a Stitched Restroom Peeps Die and a die from Have a Super Day!, along with a zigzag die from Tag Die Layers.  "To" and "From" are from the Just Tags set (although I think the newer version of this set just comes with the dies), and the main sentiment is from Have a Super Day!
