Christmas Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder

Merry Christmas!  I thought it was about time I posted in this little ol' blog!  I'm officially on winter break, and I had some fun last week making some gift card holders for colleagues using the My Creative Time Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder Die.  This is the cutest die for gifting a Starbucks gift card, and it comes together so quickly and easily!

21st Birthday Card

My niece just turned 21, so I had fun making a wine glass shaped card for her using a cut from the Cricut Alphabet cartridge.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Just a Number stamp set!

Aging to Perfection!

Hello!  It's been quite a while, and it feels so weird to not be crafting and blogging!  June was quite busy with the end of the school year and then our move to a new home.  Since then my days have been filled with decorating our new space, enjoying a long visit with good friends who travelled here from Philadelphia, and lots of get-togethers with friends and families.  I'm so thankful that this move happened in the summer, and it's given me the time to get everything organized so that I'll be all settled when school starts up again next month!

I am just starting to get into my craft room.  July is a big birthday month for my family, and my dad has a big one this year:  his 80th!  I made this card for him using the cute truck cut from the Cricut  Just Because Cards cartridge and the mountains from the Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridge.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Wow! So Many Candles!

MCT Gift Card Giving & Good-bye For Now

It's a bittersweet day on the blog today.  After being with Emma on the My Creative Time design team since it began, I am stepping down.  I have loved every minute of working with Emma and the rest of the team, but with an upcoming  move and more responsibilities in my job, it's time to step down.  Thank you, Emma, for everything!  You know I will keep using your AMAZING stamps and dies whenever I have a chance!

Now, today is Gift Card Giving with My Creative Time!  Today I made a card for a special graduate! I used the Surprise Pop-Out Card Die and decorated it with stamps and dies from Grad Night!

On the inside, I added a pocket made with the Stitched Gift Card Pocket Die.  I love this die; it's the perfect way to add a gift card to your card!

MCT 3D Wednesday!

It's 3D Wednesday with My Creative Time!  It's just 2 1/2 weeks until summer vacation for me - the perfect time to pull out the adorable 2x2 Note Holder Die and make a cute little summer themed post-it note holder!  I used some fun Simple Stories patterned paper with the die.  Then I stamped a sentiment from the Sit Back & Relax stamp and die set onto a die cut made with one of the Ribbon End Dies.  The cute little sunglasses were made with a die from Berry Special.

MCT Tag It Tuesday

It's Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time!  The new Happy Birthday Die is the perfect size for using on a tag!  I pulled out the Chunky Stitched Tag Dies and stamped on part of the fireworks stamp from Huge Celebration.  To give this stamp a little more dimension, I covered up most of the stars with die cut stars from 4x4 Journal Die + More.  All of the inking I did was with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

MCT 91st Edition Blog Hop

MCT Birthday Palooza

It's Birthday Palooza with My Creative Time!  I just love the flamingo stamps on the new Hello Gorgeous set, so I had some fun watercoloring one on today's card.  I added the included party hat and sentiment, along with a water stamp from Sea You Soon.

The fun patterned paper down the side was cut with one of the Pretty Edge Dies.

Best Day Ever contains 5 fun big sentiments with coordinating dies!  I used the "thank you" stamp and sentiment on my card today.  I just love this paint brush font!  For my background, I sprayed a piece of printer paper with Elmer's Spray Adhesive and then lay down strips of cardstock in various thicknesses.  After that I trimmed the whole thing with one of the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies.  A few sequins were the final touch!

Chickadee Birthday!

One of my students is raising chickens this year and is obsessed with chicks!  I had to put one on her birthday card, and I found this adorable chick cut on the Cricut Barnyard Babies cartridge.  I had him hold a little balloon made with one of the My Creative Time Stitched Circle Balloon Dies.  To make the grass, I used one of the MCT Fun Stitched Edges Dies, and the little sentiment is from To a Cute Little Chickie.  I put a "happy birthday" sentiment on the inside.

MCT Made in Minutes

It's Made in Minutes with My Creative Time!  There are so many MCT goodies that are perfect for making quick projects, and I used a few of them for making a card today.  This card is a 3 1/2" square, and I used the 3" die from Stitched Square Dies Inside & Out for my background.  The adorable bird was made with the Lucky Bird Die and some pretty Paper Source tie dye paper I found at Hobby Lobby years ago.  The branch was made with a die from A Friend Like You.  Finally, I used a sentiment from Make a Splash.

Thanks for the Road Trip!

My parents took my son and I on a road trip to Southern California over my spring break a couple of weeks ago, so I made this thank you card for them.  I used the adorable station wagon from Papertrey Ink's On the Wagon stamp and die sets.  For the background, I found a Cricut cut from the Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridge.  The "Thanks for the" part of the sentiment is from My Creative Time's Thanks for the Lift and "Road Trip" is from On the Wagon.

MCT 3D Wednesday!

It's 3D Wednesday with My Creative Time!  My nephew recently turned 13.  He loves it when we give him an "experience" for a gift, so I made him a cute little treat box with some chocolate inside, with a note tucked beneath telling him what he'll be doing with us this year!  I used my favorite Treat Slider Box Die and decorated it with one of the Stitched Large Balloon Dies.  The balloon is the perfect size for the Pretty Bold Number Dies.



I just love how the Treat Slider Box Die comes with 2 options of "wraps" that work perfectly with the Hershey's Nuggets!

MCT 90th Edition Release Sneak Peek #2

Are you ready for another day of the My Creative Time 90th Edition Release sneak peeks?  Today we have a fabulous new die to share with you:  Zig Zag Background Die!

This is such a fun die, and it really creates a unique background!  I die cut it twice, once in a pale yellow, and once in a deeper yellow.  This way I was actually able to make two card bases.  This one has the pale yellow outside, and I replaced the inner pieces with the deeper yellow.  I did the opposite on the other card.  To decorate this card, I added some pretty poppies, made with stamps and dies from A Beautiful Day.  "Thanks" was made with a stamp and die from Fun Notes.

MCT 90th Edition Release Sneak Peek #1

It's day 1 of My Creative Time's 90th Edition Sneak Peeks!  We have such a fun release for you this month!  We are kicking it off with two fabulous new sets:  Hello Gorgeous and Strip Sentiment Dies!

Hello Gorgeous is a darling stamp and die set with two beautiful flamingo stamps, a crown and a party hat, and coordinating dies.  It also contains twelve sentiments!  Strip Sentiment Dies is a wonderful little die set containing 6 different length rectangular dies that work perfectly with the sentiments in Hello Gorgeous, as well as with sentiments in many other MCT sets.  I used one of the Stitched Postage Frame Dies as a place to stamp one of the flamingos and then I colored it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.  I then added one of the sentiments, stamped onto one of those new sentiment strips.  A little heart from my scrap bowl of die cuts and some sequins finished off this card!

21st Birthday

My son's girlfriend recently turned 21, and this is the card that I made for her.  I used her favorite colors, a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Just a Number stamp set, and the My Creative Time Cocktail Party Stitched Dies.  Since she likes things pretty simple, I didn't bling it up at all. :-)

Cozy Bed Get Well

One of my mom's friends took a tumble and is pretty banged up.  I made this card to cheer her up.  I just love the Take it Easy set from Papertrey Ink!  I "card lifted" this design from a card made by Nichole Heady.  I loved the way she made a patchwork quilt!

MCT Birthday Palooza

It's Birthday Palooza with My Creative Time!  I just love the birds in the new A Friend Like You set.  I colored one here with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and perched it on a branch made with one of the dies from this set, and I also added one of the sweet sentiments.  In the background there are clouds made with the new Floating Cloud Dies.  I put all of this in a little window made with one of the More Stitched Circle Dies.  I trimmed my navy background piece with one of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Dot Swirl Embossing Folder.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Wow!  So Many Candles.

Here's the birthday card I made for my mom this year.  I made a frame using the My Creative Time MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies and added a banner to the bottom using a die from Papertrey Ink's Cloche Quarters.  The sentiment, as well as the plants in the center, are from PTI's Cloche Quarters:  Spring Fillers.  The other two plants are from Cloche Quarters:  Summer Fillers.

MCT Birthday Palooza!

It's Birthday Palooza with My Creative Time!  I made this happy birthday card by using the stencil from the A Sunny Hello Kit with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks to give my background a fun rainbow look.  I trimmed this with one of the Stitched Square Dies Inside & Out.  I then added "happy" from Happy Everything and stamped "birthday," also from this set, onto a banner made from one of the Stitched Decorative Banner Dies.  A few sequins finished off this card!

Keep on Pedaling

I made this card for a friend who could use a little encouragement.  The darling bike and sentiment are from Papertrey Ink's Pedal Pusher.  I trimmed some patterned paper with one of My Creative Time's More Stitched Edges Dies.  Hopefully this card will put a smile on my friend's face!

MCT Tag It Tuesday

It's Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time!  The new butterfly dies from the Amazing Things set are so pretty; I just had to use a couple of them on a birthday tag!  I created the tag using the Chunky Stitched Tag Dies and then used one of the More Stitched Edges Dies to make a little area for the sentiment, which is from Wow! So Many Candles.  A few sequins finished off this tag!

MCT 89th Edition Release Blog Hop & Sale!

For my project today, I made a little encouragement card using several of the new sets!  The clouds are from the new Floating Cloud Dies set.  The adorable bird, which I colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, the branch, and the sentiment, are from A Friend Like You.  To make the frame I used some of the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the new Amazing Things set.
