It's Anything Goes with My Creative Time!  Today I have fun birthday card that I made for one of my students' upcoming birthdays!  My school's mascot is a star, so I thought it would be fun to use one of the Bunch of Stitched Star Dies and add one of the Party Hat Dies to his head!  I made his face with a very old Peachy Keen face stamp.  Of course, he needed to be holding a little birthday cake, and the Baby Cake Die was the perfect size!  This is a big card to accommodate the big star, 6" x 6", and I used one of the More Stitched Edges Dies to give it a fun torn border down one side.  I finished it off with a sentiment from Time to Celebrate, stamped onto a banner made with one of the Stitched Decorative Banner Dies!

For my project today, I made a card using the gorgeous new Little Stitches Leaves Dies.  I love these dies!  They are the perfect size and have such beautiful detail!  This was a simple card to make - I just put a border of brown cardstock and plaid patterned paper down the edge and then scattered some falling leaves in some pretty fall colors.  I finished it off with the perfect sentiment from Belly Band Sentiments.

MCT 83rd Edition Release Sneak Peek #4

Are you ready for one last day of My Creative Time sneak peeks?  Today we are sneaking one last adorable die set:  Little Stitched Leaves!

Little Stitched Leaves is such a sweet little set for fall!  It includes 3 beautiful leaf dies and 2 stem dies.  For my card today, I did a nested die cut technique with the leaf dies, so that they would be nice and flat.  If you haven't ever seen this technique in action, I once made a video using it, which you can see here.  I then adhered one of the stems on top, and then added the "thanks" die cut from Happy Thoughts, which I layered up 3 times to make it nice and thick.  This whole piece is created on a rectangle that was trimmed with one of the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies.  I can see these little leaf dies dressing up all sorts of projects!

MCT 83rd Edition Release Sneak Peek #3

We've got another sneak peek of the My Creative Time 83rd Edition release for you!  Today we are sneaking a new lollipop holder die for fall:  the Pumpkin Lollipop Holder Die! 

I just love the shape of this die!  It's so adorable!  I had the cutest 6" x 6" plaid patterned paper that I wanted to use for my project.  The die is longer than 6", so I just cut it from orange cardstock, and then cut just the front and back with the plaid and adhered it on.  So easy!  I added on the included stem and leaves and also a tag made with the Teeny Tag Layering Dies, stamped with a sentiment from Teeny Tag Holidays.  How cute would this look on your Thanksgiving table?

MCT 83rd Edition Release Sneak Peek #2

Are you ready for another day of the My Creative Time 83rd Edition Release sneak peeks?  Today we have a new edition in the cute tag die series to share with you:  Cute Pumpkin Tag Die!

Cute Pumpkin Tag Die can take you throughout the fall season, being perfect for Halloween, general fall, and Thanksgiving!  To turn mine into a Halloween tag, I added an adorable jack-o-lantern face using the Pumpkin Face Die from our last release.  If you did not get this die as a freebie last month, it's available in the My Creative Time store right now for $2.99!  I just think this tag is so cute!  There is actually another leaf die included, which I did not use.  

Since I wanted to use the fun plaid patterned paper for the background, I die cut the inside pumpkin again out of plain orange paper so that I'd have a spot to write a note.  Since all of the papers I used are from a patterned paper pack and not cardstock, it doesn't make the tag too thick at all.

MCT 83rd Edition Release Sneak Peek #1

It's day 1 of My Creative Time's 83rd Edition Sneak Peeks!  We have such a fun release for you this month, and I am so excited about today's sneak!  Made with Love is perfect for anybody who likes to give handmade gifts.  This set includes stamps and dies that will help you create darling tags for gifts that are handcrafted, baked, hand sewn, quilted, knitted, crocheted, stitched, and more!  I needed a set like this, and I know I will get a lot of use out of it!

How cute is this little tag?  I stamped the balls of yarn in colors to coordinate with the yarn of the scarf I crocheted.  The tag has a layer, which I used here, but it looks really cute without it too.

What I have really needed when giving away a crocheted item is a way to share the fiber contents and care instructions.  Now I can do this so easily!  On the back of the tag, I stamped the cute little icons and words and then wrote out the instructions for the recipient.  Emma did a great job of making this die perfectly symmetrical so that you can cut it twice and glue them back to back, avoiding having to use the messy back of the die cut.

MCT Whatever Wednesday

It's Whatever Wednesday with My Creative Time! Today I made a little post-it note holder for my niece Mary using the awesome Note Card Holder Die!  I love this die - it's so perfect for making quick, adorable post-it note holders!  I used all three of the included dies:  the one for the main base, which I cut in turquoise, and then the two layers (the patterned piece and the white circle).  I also pulled out my Uppercase Fun Dies to cut out her initial, coating it with some Glossy Accents to make it shine!

MCT Weird Holiday

It's time to celebrate a "weird holiday" with My Creative Time!  Did you know that September 6th is "Read a Book Day"?  Neither did I!  But as a book lover and a teacher, I'm happy to encourage others to read!  I made this card using the cute pile of books stamp from the So Many Books stamp and die set.  I pieced together my sentiment using stamps from So Many Books for "read a book" and Prehistoric Holidays for "happy" and "day!"  The cute little hearts were made with dies from 4x4 Journal Die + More.  I watercolored both the books and the background paper with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and then trimmed the background piece with one of the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies.
