MCT Just Cards

It's Just Cards Day with My Creative Time, a day to share some fun cards!  I got a little bit inky making this one.  I started by ink blending some Tim Holtz Distress Inks on some Strathmore Bristol Cardstock and then die cut "hello," using the Big Hello die and a few envelopes, using the Signed, Sealed and Delivered set.  To the card base, I added a strip of patterned paper that I trimmed with one of the More Stitched Edges dies.  I think it all came together pretty nicely!

MCT Manly Monday

It's Manly Monday with My Creative Time! For my project today, I made a Valentine.  I tried to give it a little bit of a masculine twist with the colors and the argyle patterned paper, which I trimmed with one of the MCT Stitched Square Dies Inside & Out.  The heart was cut with a die from You + Me, and the sentiment is also from there.  The heart stamps are from A Sloth Holiday.  I die cut the cute little dog with a die from Loyal Friends, and the envelope is from Signed, Sealed and Delivered.

Yay! It's Your Birthday!

I have another birthday card made with a Cricut cut for you today!  This one is from Animal Antics.  I love this little turtle on a skateboard!  I added a birthday cake made with the My Creative Time Baby Cake Die.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Stylish Sentiments:  Birthday.  I think this will be the perfect card for one of my third grade boys!

Birdy Birthday

I had fun making this birthday card with a Cricut cut from the Straight from the Nest cartridge.  I used one of the My Creative Time More Stitched Edges Dies to make the grass.  The sentiment is also by MCT, from the Tweet Me stamp set.  I stamped it onto a die cut made with the Papertrey Ink Double Ended Banner Die.  Some sequins finished off this card!

MCT 87th Edition Release Sneak Peek #4

Are you ready for one last day of My Creative Time sneak peeks?  Today we are sneaking one last beautiful die set:  Heart Doily Dies!

Heart Doily Dies includes three beautiful dies and I used two of them for my card today.  As you can see, they aren't just for Valentine's Day projects.  They can dress up a thank you note, or a birthday card, a love note...  Since I needed to make a thank you note, I just cut two of them and added a "thanks" die cut that I made with one of the Mini Greeting Dies.  I thought that some fun patterned paper in the background and a few sequins were the perfect touches to finish off this card!

MCT 87th Edition Release Sneak Peek #3

We've got another sneak peek of the My Creative Time 87th Edition release for you!  Today we are sneaking a gorgeous new Valentine's stamp and die set:  Pretty Heart Roses! 

This set has the most beautiful heart-shaped rose stamps with coordinating dies!  There are two of them, and two leaves.  I took one and the leaves, and stamped them with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed white embossing powder.  This gave me a nice area to do some watercoloring.  For the background of my card, I added some patterned paper that I trimmed with one of the More Stitched Edges Dies.  The sentiment is from Pretty Heart Roses.  I love the font on "Valentine!"

MCT 87th Edition Release Sneak Peek #2

Are you ready for another day of the My Creative Time 87th Edition Release sneak peeks?  Today we have a wonderful new stamp and die set to share with you:  You + Me.  This set has two beautiful heart dies and nine sentiments in a gorgeous font! 

 Today I made a gift card holder for Valentine's Day.  I used the Gift Card Gift Box Die and then added the Stitched Belly Band wrapped around it.  Next I used one of the new heart dies from You + Me to make 3 hearts, stacking them for extra dimension, and I stamped one of the new sentiments on top.  Finally, I finished off the project by adding some silver sequins.

MCT 87th Edition Release Sneak Peek #1

It's day 1 of My Creative Time's 87th Edition Sneak Peeks!  We have such a fun release for you this month!  We are starting off today with a new die, LOVE Block.  LOVE Block will be free with your order this Friday, January 18, 2019, if you are one of the first 25 shoppers, beginning at 8 AM PST.  Once 25 shoppers come through, it will be available for purchase.

I decided that this cute little die would look perfect on a tag!  I die cut it twice, so that I could layer it, and then I adhered it to my tag, made with the Super Tag Dies.  A few hearts made with dies from the Kindness Stamp & Die set, covered in Glossy Accents were the final touch!

MCT 3D Wednesday

I't 3D Wednesday with My Creative Time!  Now that I've put away all of my Christmas decorations, my house is looking a little bare, so I decided to make a fun Valentine's Day bouquet!  I used both the Small Stitched Pinwheel and the Medium Stitched Pinwheel Dies.  The cute little hearts in the centers were made with the Pinwheel Centers Dies.  After assembling the pinwheels, I hot glued them to some bamboo skewers that I picked up at Target.  I popped them into a vase, and it was finished!

Thanks for Brightening my Day!

Here's another of the thank you notes I made for Christmas presents this year.  I used the Papertrey Ink Lighten Up stamps and dies.  By running the dies through my Vagabond multiple times with a variety of colors of cardstock, I ended up with enough different lamp bases and lampshades to make 6 different cards!  Some fun striped patterned paper worked great to ground the lamps.

I am so excited for this new set!  I love mailing my handmade cards, and this set contains so many fun sentiments for decorating the envelopes!  But, there is also the cutest little mailbox image that I used for the birthday card I'm sharing today!  I stamped it onto Strathmore Bristol cardstock and colored it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.  I then mounted it onto a little background that I die cut using one of the Stitched Postage Frame Dies.  The sentiment is from Thanks for the Lift, and I stamped it onto a die cut that I made with one of the Vintage Stitched Label Dies.

MCT Gift Card Giving

Happy New Year!  We are starting a new segment on My Creative Time called Gift Card Giving!  There are so many adorable MCT gift card dies, which I just love, since I find myself giving gift cards often!  Today I used the Pretty Gift Card Holder.  I decorated it with a cute little cake made with the Baby Cake Die and a sentiment from Time to Celebrate!  A few sequins finished it off.  So quick and easy!
