Altered Canvas

My brother and his family recently bought a new house, so I thought this idea I found on the Cricut messageboard would be perfect for my nieces' Christmas presents: altered canvases for them to hang on their doors. I started with an 8" x 10" canvas from Michael's and then used Mod Podge to adhere everything down and use as a sealant over the top layer. This is my first completed one, and I should have the second one up in the next day or two.

"Jada" is cut from Birthday Bash, and the butterflies are from Walk in My Garden. Everything is cut at 2".

Recipe:

DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack Patterned Paper, cut at 9 3/4" x 7 3/4"
Core'dinations and Papertrey Ink Cardstock
Cuttlebug Polka Dots Embossing Folder
ekSuccess Rick Rack Border
Michael's Canvas and Ribbon
Mod Podge

  1. I LOVE this idea, Katie! I have had some old canvases hanging around that I haven't altered yet and I think I just might have to use your idea! I have boys, so I will have to make some adjustments, LOL! Too cute! TFS.
