Cheerful Get Well

My mom had some surgery on her foot on Friday, so I thought she needed a cheerful get well card.  I made this using the new Papertrey Ink Cover Plate:  Hexagon Die.  This is a really fun die!  I die cut the frame using rustic white card stock and then used 1/8" ScorTape around the edges of the frame to adhere it to the card base of the same color.

Each of the hexagons was stamped with a pattern from the coordinating Happy Hexagons stamp set, and then I used a little adhesive runner to adhere them into place on the card.  I used PTI's kraft, summer sunrise, pure poppy, and simply chartreuse inks, and I really like how the color combination turned out.

For my sentiment, I began by using the PTI Double Ended Banner Die and summer sunrise cardstock to create my shape.  I then stamped a pattern from PTI's Ribbon Tails Stamp Set on top of that with summer sunrise ink.  The sentiment, from My Creative Time's Many Greetings stamp set, is stamped with dark chocolate ink.  Then I just added a pure poppy button and a little hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  Hopefully this will bring a smile to my mom's face!
