The other day Kristina Werner had a swing card on her blog that was really cool. I've never tried making one of these before. She used a Sizzix die for hers, but I thought maybe I could design my own in Silhouette Studio. It took a long while, but I finally figured it out!
Instead of a circle, like the die she used, I decided to put a tag shape in the middle of mine. I really liked Kristina's use of embossed vellum, so I did that too, using the Papertrey Ink Crackled Mini Stamp Set. I also used the Cricut Life is a Beach cartridge to cut a 1 1/4" anchor.
My sentiment is from My Creative Time's Wow! So Many Candles stamp set, my "go to" set for birthday cards.
This picture shows the back of the tag. When I cut my anchor, I used my Gypsy to flip the image horizontally and cut it again so that I could match it up on the back of the tag.
The nice thing about designing this in the Silhouette is that I now have the file to use again!

ReplyDeleteGreat job designing your swing card. I can't tell where your cuts are attached at on the tag. You are doing great with your Cameo :D I need to spend time learning and playing with it more...so much you can design with the program. Wonderful crackle and choice of papers.
