MCT Scrapping the Little Things!

Today on My Creative Time we are "Scrapping the Little Things!"  We are showing off what we're up to with Project Life, SMASH Books, etc.  I started doing Project Life last June, and I'm having a lot of fun with it!  I don't do a picture a day, but I try to have a spread for each week.  Sometimes I'm not very good at remembering to take pictures, and then I'll do a couple week spread.  There are definitely no rules for this!

This layout is of the day my son got his driver's license.  This was such a huge occasion that it deserved its own page.  I used my new Project Life Core Kit - Seafoam Edition for all of my cards.  I tend to use one type of product for each spread, whether if it's from a Project Life core kit or another manufacturer, but I don't feel the need to use it in my entire album.  I like to mix up my colors and patterns!  As you'll see, there are a ton of My Creative Time stamps and dies that are PERFECT for Project Life!

To make this title, I used Silhouette Studio to weld together "best day" using the LaurenScript font and "ever" using the Haettenschweiler font.  I cut it in black and then also cut "ever" again from a patterned paper scrap that coordinated with my page colors.

To dress up this card a bit, I added a cute little heart from My Creative Time's Stitched Heart Layering Dies and a sentiment from Cherish This Moment.

This little card was fun to make.  I put a strip of license plates from the Simple Stories Awesome 6 x 6 paper pad and added a couple of cute Studio Calico car wood veneers.  The blue strip was made with the ekSuccess Bumpy Roads Edger Punch.  I added two flags.  "Freedom," from MCT's My Little Firecracker Stamp Set (I had to mask off part of the sentiment), is stamped on a flag cut with the die from Chocolate Greetings. "Congratulations," from Vintage Sentiments, is stamped on the die from Vintage Stitched Label Dies.

Here I used the ekSuccess Zig Zag Punch to add a little interest to the top of the card.  I then stamped the hand from MCT's Cherish This Moment, along with the sentiment and cute little glasses from Here's Lookin' at You!

  8. I am using Project Life now too and doing it like you are, using whatever products I like on each page and not doing the "themed" book. I find so many of Emma's dies and stamps work well with Project Life. This is a great page. Now the fun really begins for you!
