My Creative Time Designer Challenge

Today is a My Creative Time Designer Challenge, and our designer Cindy has challenged us to create a birthday themed project!  Perfect timing for me, since two of my third graders are celebrating their birthdays this week.  For the little girl, I made this cute 3" x 3 1/2" card.  The fun chevron paper is from the My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio collection.  I added a sweet banner made with the MCT Stitched Party Dies.

I love how well the My Creative Time dies cut through felt!  I find the Papertrey Ink felt works particularly well.  Isn't this ice cream cone from Celebrate Good Times adorable?

For my sentiment, I used the MCT Vintage Stitched Label Die and stamped it with a sentiment from Vintage Sentiments.

For the little boy celebrating his birthday, I made my card base with the MCT 3x3 Fancy Tri-fold Card Die.  Before running it through my Vagabond, I put strips of cloud washi tape from My Mind's Eye  Cut & Paste Charm collection onto my white cardstock.  I then stamped a sentiment from Card Sentiments, the stamp/die set that includes the Tri-fold Card Die.

This cute little airplane is a Studio Calico Transportation Wood Veneer.  I inked it up with some kraft ink to help it stand out better on the washi tape.  It's pulling a fun tag made with the MCT Chunky Jar Accessories stamps and dies.
