It's Inspire Me Wednesday with My Creative Time, and today I made a birthday card inspired by this fun card by Laura Bassen. I loved her cut up watercolor background! I thought it would be fun to make a brick design for mine. I started by using Tim Holtz distress inks and just watercoloring stripes of different colors on Strathmore watercolor paper. When the stripes dried, I flicked on some water droplets and then blotted them off with paper towel. Then I used one of the More Stitched Rectangular Dies to die cut lots of little rectangles and adhered them onto my card base in a brick pattern.
I also watercolored the cute turtle from the new Sea You Soon set. I love this adorable little guy! For the sentiment, also from this set, I die cut one of the Ribbon End Banners.
