MCT July Sneak Peek #4

I hope you all had a great weekend!  Are you ready for another day of sneak peeks!  Is your order list growing?  Today I have a pretty sympathy card that I made for a sweet friend.  Remember, I'm not going to share which My Creative Time products I used on this card, because if you guess correctly you can win one of our fabulous prizes (see the bottom of this post).

My card base is a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Papertrey Ink kraft cardstock.  Can you guess which set I used for this beautiful sentiment?

The pretty butterfly is cut at 1 1/4" from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I love this butterfly!  I just adhered the frame part of the blue layer to the black polka dot layer, leaving the mini wings in the center to pop up!  I spy some My Creative Time signature stitching in this photo! LOVE!!!

First Communion Card and Box

My little niece Mary celebrated her First Communion this weekend.  We got her a pretty little bracelet, so I made a box to package it in.  The coordinating card was made with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, cut at 5.5".  I added a layer with some pretty silver paper and another with sparkly white paper (sorry, I don't know who makes these).  I embossed the white layer with the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder before adhering it together.

This cut is from the Cricut Something to Remember cartridge.  I cut it at 2.88".  To give the chalice a realistic look, I cut it with the silver paper, and then embossed it with Papertrey Ink's Tin Type Impression Plate.  A little Imaginisce gem finished off the flower.

I got the cut for the Cross Favor Box at the Silhouette Online Store.

Engagement Card

One of my coworkers just got engaged, which gave me the perfect excuse to use this awesome sentiment from Papertrey Ink!

I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to make an oval with patterned paper from Echo Park's Bundle of Joy:  Boy, along with a black shadow.  The ribbon is Papertrey Ink's True Black Satin Ribbon, topped with a brad from Teresa Collin's Timeless collection.  The bride and her dress were made with PTI's Man & Wife dies.

The cute sentiment is from PTI's Just a Kiss stamp set.

Thank You Card & Envelope

I've got a fun little thank you card to share today, using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for the ticket card cut.

I used my favorite hot air balloon from My Creative Time's Fly Away With Me die and stamp sets.  I paper pieced it using patterns from Echo Park's Scoot, which can be found at Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  I love the bright colors in this one!  It's got great papers for little boys, but I'm also finding that I'm using it for all sorts of projects!

The sentiment and tag are from MCT's Teeny Tag Greetings, and they are tied with hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

I recently saw a great tutorial on the Silhouette blog that taught how to size any envelope to match your card.  It's really easy and so useful!

For my envelope, I used Lori Whitlock's #10 String Tie Envelope, adjusting the size so that the finished envelope is 5 1/4" x 2 3/4", just perfect for my 5" x 2 1/2" card.
