MCT Leap for Joy... It's Sale Time!

Good morning and welcome to the My Creative Time "Leap for Joy Sale Blog Hop!"  We have a 24 Hour Only Sale that is going on right NOW!  In honor of Leap Year, we are releasing a new set of dies:  Pretty Bold Numbers!  So many of you purchased the Pretty Bold Letters and these new dies coordinate PERFECTLY!  Use the code LEAPYEAR16 at checkout to get 20% off your entire order!  Sale applies to in-stock items only!  This sale will end on March 1, 2016 at 12 AM, PST!

Now, you should have arrived here from the very talented Jessica.  If you just happened upon here, you might want to head over to Emma's blog, to the beginning of the hop.

My card today is for a boy who is turning nine, so I thought it would be fun to use the new number dies to die cut a bunch of numbers out of white cardstock, but ink up the nine with some Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, to make it really stand out!  I love the large size and fun font of these new number dies!  To help the nine "float away," I die cut some balloons from the Stitched Party Dies and inked them up with Twisted Citron, Carved Pumpkin, and Mustard Seed Distress Ink.  I adhered all of these to a base created with the largest of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies.  The sentiment is from Plane & Simple, and I finished off the card with some Neat & Tangled sequins.

Here is a closer look at the new dies.  They are available now in the My Creative Time Store!

Birthday Snake

Here's a fun birthday card I made for one of my students.  I used images from several different Cricut cartridges:  a snake from Animal Kingdom, a party hat from Doodlecharms, and some presents from Birthday Bash.  For my background, I die cut a square using the largest of the My Creative Time Stitched Square Dies Inside & Out and made some scor lines on it with my Scor-Pal.  I then added a sentiment from MCT's Prehistoric Holidays.

MCT Favorite Stamp Redux

Today we are featuring another "My Creative Time's FAVORITE stamp of the Month!"  This month we are featuring a fun stamp, Enjoy the Little Things. If this cute stamp has been on your wish list, you can pick it up HERE at a discount price! This stamp will be on sale for the entire month of February! The sale will end on February 29, 2016 @ 12:00am PST!

I thought it would be fun to make a little cookie jar using this stamp.  Doesn't this sentiment go perfectly with a jar of animal crackers?  I heat embossed the sentiment onto Cricut Chalkboard Vinyl, using some white embossing powder.  Here's a tip if you heat emboss with vinyl:  move quickly, and as soon as your embossing powder is melted, stop!  Otherwise, your vinyl will melt too!  Luckily it only took two tries to make this work.  The die I used to make the fun shape is the Stitched XL Label Die.
On top of the jar lid I adhered a white circle and then a light blue doily made with one of the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies, to give it some interest.  I then wrapped the lid with some May Arts  Light Blue Twill with Chevron Stripes and added a cute Papertrey Ink button in the center.
Be sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what she and some of the design team did with this stamp today!

MCT 52nd Edition Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 52nd Edition Release Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the very talented Jessica.  If you just happened upon here, you might want to head over to Emma's blog, to the beginning of the hop.  This is a very fun release, and I hope you are as excited about it as we are!

I used two of the new products to make my card today!  First off, I used one of the new More Stitched Edges dies to create my cloud background.  I took a piece of white cardstock, ran it through my Vagabond with the largest of the More Stitched Rectangular Dies, and then used the scalloped die from More Stitched Edges to make my cloud shapes.  I then used an ink blending tool and some Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Soft Sky to give the blue accents.

The other new product I used today is You're My Lucky Charm.  That's where I got the balloon and string stamps and dies.  They are holding up my little elephant, which is from the existing Hello Baby set, which also included the sentiment that I used on this card.

Here's a closer look at More Stitched Edges  and You're My Lucky Charm.  They are available now in the My Creative Time Store
