Welded Birthday Card

I made this birthday card on my Gypsy, using Don Juan, Gypsy Wanderings, and Straight From the Nest.

Recipe:

Papertrey Ink Cardstock: New Leaf, Aqua Mist, Dark Chocolate, and Stamper's Select White
Patterned Paper: DCWV Summer Dream Stack
Xmas Red Stickles
Papertrey Ink Chai Ink
White Gelly Roll Pen
Scotch Pop-up Foam Squares

To make the green card base, I welded together a rectangle from Don Juan that was 5.5” x 6.84” (read dial size on) and “Party” from Gypsy Wanderings at 3.42”. I cut “Party” again in the same size in aqua (I’m not sure why it didn’t cut exactly the same), and did some white doodling on it.

The polka dot layer on the front of the card is 5 ¼” x 2 3/8”, and the one on the inside of the card is 5 ¼” x 4”. Both are inked with Chai ink.

For the cupcakes, I welded together two of the cupcake borders from Straight From the Nest at 1.6”. This made 6 connected cupcakes, but I cut off two of them with scissors. I ran the wrapper layer through the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder and the frosting through the Divine Swirl folder. These are popped up.

  1. Katie,
I love it and I love that Gypsy wanderings font. Now I know, I need a Gypsy.
    Thanks for sharing
