Spelling Bee Gift Cards

Here's what I've been working on today! I'm one of the teachers in charge of our school's spelling bee, which is taking place this week. Each class had its own spelling bee and the winner competes in the school bee. The participants in the school bee will receive a certificate and a Borders gift card. Of course, I couldn't just let us give out the gifts cards in the envelopes from Borders! Instead I made 17 of these cuties.

The gift card holders are cut at 4 1/4" from the Wild Card cartridge. I then cut strips of paper at 3/4" x 4", 2" x 4", and 2 1/2" x 4" to decorate the outside. You can see a video of how to do this at Creations with Christina. Next I printed "Class Spelling Bee Champ" from my computer, and punched them out with my ekSuccess Ticket Punch. The cute bee from Create a Critter, cut at 2 1/2" was the final touch!
