Baby Tags for the NICU

One of my friends recently delivered her twins seven weeks early, so they will be in the NICU for a little while.  My own son was 13 weeks early, and the nurses encouraged us to bring in items from home to decorate his isolette.  It was comforting to somewhat break up the sterile environment of the NICU, so I thought my friend would enjoy putting these on her babies' isolettes.

My tags are cut at 6" from the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.  I cut them once in a heavy kraft cardstock and again in patterned paper, to make them nice and sturdy.

For Hayden's tag, I cut the onesie from Baby Steps at 4".  His name is stamped with letters from the My Creative Time Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set.

Claire's onesie, also from Baby Steps, is cut at 3", and I ran it through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.   I stamped her name with the same stamp set and heat embossed it to make it really stand out on the raspberry cardstock.

Recipe:

Papertrey Ink Kraft, Spring Moss, Enchanted Evening, Rustic White, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, & Sweet Blush Cardstock
DCWV "Baby Boy Stack" Patterned Paper (stripe & brown print)
My Mind's Eye "Lime Twist:  Out of the Blue" Patterned Paper (gingham)
Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" Embossing Folder
My Creative Time "Anyday Bingo & Crossword" Stamp Set
Enchanted Evening Ink
Versmark Ink
White Filigree Embossing Powder
ColorBox Cat's Eye Chalk Ink
Papertrey Ink Spring Moss & New Leaf Topnotch Twill Ribbon
