Rewind: 4th of July Banner

I just got back from a very fun trip to Boston and Cape Cod, so I have no new projects to share with you.  While I get myself organized and back to crafting, I thought it would be fun to share some 4th of July projects I've done in the past.  I made this banner for my little niece's playhouse 2 years ago. It's still one of my favorite projects!

The pennants are cut at 6" from the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge. To make the 4" rosettes, I followed this great video by Tammy Skinner. On top of each rosette, I adhered a 6" circle from Cricut's Mini Monograms. This "freedom" cut is from Cricut's Graphically Speaking.

For this pennant, I cut a 3 1/4" firecracker from Cricut's Sweet Treats.

I love this cut from A Child's Year. It is cut at 4".

Finally, here is another cut, at 3 1/2", from Graphically Speaking. I dressed it up with some white stitching and a stamp from My Creative Time's My Little Firecracker stamp set.

Oversized Birthday Tag

My 5-year-old niece loves pigs (and was born in the year of the pig), so I had to incorporate one on her birthday tag.  Since this was going on a large plain kraft gift bag, I made my tag large too, cutting it at 7" from the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge.

This adorable pig is cut from the Cricut Craft Room Barnyard Babies cartridge at 3 1/2".  Again, I'm not actually using Cricut Craft Room; all of the exclusive cartridges can be used on your Gypsy as well.  The present is cut at 2" from the Sweet Treats cartridge, and the party hat is also cut at 2", from Doodlecharms.

For my little pennant, I die cut the shape and used a sentiment from My Creative Time's Teeny Tag Greetings.  Hopefully my niece will like her little pig tag!

Published in Cricut Magazine!

I just wanted to share the card I had published in the May Cricut Magazine.  It was for their "Quick, Easy, and Fabulous" section.  I cut the cupcake shape from the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge at 4", using my Gypsy to weld together two of the base shapes to create a shaped card.  I ran the chocolate layer through my Cuttlebug with the Divine Swirls embossing folder, and topped the card with a flower made from a 4" cut from the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge.

The tag is cut at 1 1/4" from Sweet Treats and stamped with a sentiment from the My Creative Time This & That stamp set.

MCT Favorite Stamps of the Month

For my project today, I made a little 4th of July tag, showcasing a sentiment from My Little Firecracker.  The tag is cut at 5" from the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge.  The stars are cut at 2.5" and 3.5" from A Child's Year, and the border at the bottom is cut at 0.93" from Ribbons & Rosettes.  Product details are at the bottom of this post.  I've got lots of past projects using all three stamp sets, so keep scrolling down!
