Can you believe it? It's the last day of sneak peeks before the BIG reveal of My Creative Time's new stamps tomorrow! Aren't you loving this release? Well, today will NOT disappoint you! Emma is so creative; she has come up with the cutest Stitched Lollipop Holder Die that coordinates with her Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies! This means that you can make easy treats for Halloween, birthdays, Christmas, etc. Emma has stamp sets for all of those themes that fit into the stitched circle! And not only that, she is releasing a brand new Valentine set that also works with it! Classmates Valentines is a must have if you have kids or work with them. As a teacher, I often find if difficult to find Valentines to give to my students that are appropriate. Also, when my son was younger, he would refuse to give out any Valentines to his classmates that said things such as "Be Mine!" Classmates Valentines has the perfect "non-gushy" sentiments to solve this problem!
For this lollipop holder, I stamped the cute sentiment in red and then the frog in black, coloring him with some Copic markers. I also added some Glossy Accents to his eyes. The fun thing about Classmate Valentines (and all of the stamp sets that coordinate with the Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies) is that you can mix and match the images and sentiments.
The lollipop holder cuts in just this shape, and then I layered cork that I cut from the scallop die, with my stitched white circle on top.
For this one I just used patterned paper for the scalloped circle.
And here, I tried fabric for the scalloped circle. Emma's dies seem to cut through just about anything (cork, fabric, balsa wood...). I love the Glossy Accents on my ladybug!
Here's a look at the back of the lollipop holder. I love how the stitching continues onto the back. There are also two holes in each side, so that you can pull ribbon or a twist tie through. If you wanted to be fancier, you could add the scallop and stitched circle to the back too.
And a view from the side. I put some yummy See's lollipops into the holders!
