My Creative Time's November Stamp Release Blog Hop!

Are you ready?  Today you finally get to see all of the stamp sets and dies in Emma's November stamp release!  There is such a fun mix this month:  girly, sports, Valentines, and treats!  Something for everybody!  If you haven't been to Emma's site yet, head over there now to see her video introducing each of the fabulous new sets.  AND, be sure to read to the bottom of the post to see the AMAZING giveway for this hop!!!

I am so excited to share this "classy" card I made today using Keepin' It Classy and Classy & Fabulous.  These sets are just AWESOME!!!  The artwork that Emma's brother, Mark Villar, designed is just too cute, and Emma's sentiments pair with it beautifully!

Driving home from school yesterday, I had an idea of how to get some patterns onto these stamps, and I was so happy to see that it worked!  I began by stamping just the girl and the dog with black ink onto kraft cardstock.  I then masked everything I had stamped except for the pants, using some post-it notes.

Next, I took the burlap pattern from My Creative Time's Build a Banner Kit and inked it up with Versamark ink.

To get the burlap pattern onto the pants, I pressed the pants part of the stamp onto the inked up burlap stamp.  I didn't need to worry about it getting on the shoes or arms, since I had protected those areas on my kraft paper with the post-it notes.  I then stamped the girl right on top of the black image I had already created on the kraft paper.  I removed the post-its, and I was left with the burlap pattern in Versmark ink on the pants.  After quickly stamping the purse and leash with Versamark ink, I added white embossing powder and heat embossed the whole thing.

Some little rhinestones were used for the belt and collar.  I just love the "Keepin' it Classy" sentiment!  The fonts are just perfect!  My kraft cardstock is a 3 1/2" square.  It is layered on a 3 5/8" piece of aqua cardstock, which is layered on a 4" square that I printed using my Imagine Black & White cartridge.  The aqua card base is 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".

Here are the full stamp sets!  They are selling now at My Creative Time!

  169. I love how you put the pattern in her pants, such a creative way to use a textured stamp on a stamp that otherwise would be plain (which is nice too); but it sure opens the door for other creative textures to come popping out of our stamp sets! Thanks for all the inspiration you provide for me!!
    Happy Thanksgiving!
