Have you ever made a card, and something about it just bugged you? Well, that's what happened with the card below, which I shared a few weeks ago. My center element was a chipboard piece from the My Mind's Eye Mischievous collection, and it was really bothering me how the circle in it isn't centered! After making the circle swing card that I posted on Tuesday, I realized that the cut I used for the circle would replace the chipboard piece perfectly.
I did like the sunburst pattern that I made, so I didn't want to trash the card completely. Luckily, I was able to get the sticky chipboard piece off without destroying the card. Click here for a link to my tutorial on making a sunburst pattern in Silhouette Studio.
To make my new element, I used Silhouette Studio to cut a 2 1/4" scalloped circle in black and a 2" circle out of patterned paper from the Mischievous collection. I used the same cat and fence cut from Kerri Bradford's This & That: All Hallow's Eve kit that I used on Tuesday, but this time added a sentiment from My Creative Time's Treats for My Sweet stamp set. I think it is a huge improvement!

Fab redo...although I liked the first way too...but I agree...the redo version is much better, pops more. Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteKatie ~ WHAT???? I LOVED the first card!!! But I will say I LOVE the second card too! I agree ( which let me say I STILL would take the first card) that the black does make it pop better!!! You know I ADORE the paper and the sunburst ~ Oh my goodness! I must admit too ~ I need to try this redo idea sometime but then I would have to start from the begining of blogging journey and there would be nothing new on my blog for quite some time! LOL
ReplyDeleteNice Redo! I liked the first one but the new silhouette is way cute and shows up better, plus centered! Great job.
