Dressing up an Old Card

The other day I was going to be meeting a friend for lunch in half an hour, and I wanted a card for her to be able to pass on to her mom, who had just had surgery.  I looked through my stash and found this plain one that I had made for a Cuttlebug challenge 3 years ago, when I first started my blog.  All it had on it was the background stamping and the embossed squares.  You can see my original post here (ignore the horrible lighting of that pic; I don't know what was happening back then).  I did think it was a pretty background, but it needed something more before it could be used for anything.

That's where some My Creative Time supplies came to the rescue!  I pulled out my Curly Label Die and Stitched Curly Label Die to make my frame and then stamped a sweet sentiment from Many Greetings.  The pretty flowers were made with the Flower Petal Dies and topped with a brad from the Echo Park Charming collection.  In just a few minutes, this pretty, but plain background, was tranformed into a get well card!
