Back to School Postcard

School starts a week from Monday for me, so it was time for me to get started on my postcards that I will mail to all of my new 3rd graders, welcoming them to my class, once the class lists are posted next week.  I found the perfect patterned paper to use this year:  Echo Park's Teacher's Pet!  And, I found a coordinating die cut (the stack of books), also created by Echo Park,  in the Silhouette Online Store.  I added an apple to the top of the stack, made with dies from My Creative Time's Love to Learn.  The sentiment is from MCT's Write On, and I sized a banner that I had in my Silhouette library to be just the right size for it.  Now I just need to get busy making 18 more of these!

  1. Who would not look forward to school starting and meeting the teacher who sent out this sweet card? Perfect paper for the background. I love the stack of books and how cute with the apple on top. Great idea to size your banner perfectly for the sentiment. Fabulous job. 18 more will take a while. Love it.
