MCT Tag It Tuesday

It's Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time, which means we're pulling out our favorite MCT products to make some fun tags!  It seems like I always need birthday tags, and since I just got back from the beach, I was in the mood to make a beach themed birthday tag!  To make this fun back ground, I took a piece of white cardstock and ran it through my Vagabond several times with the wave die from You're a Great Catch, moving the die about a half inch down the paper each time.  For the fourth cut, I used the other wave die, which I thought would look perfect for where the sand meets the ocean.  I then taped the back of these together with some washi tape, lay one of the tag dies from Tag Die Layers on top, and ran it through the Vagabond again.  Now my pieces were ready to ink!  The big sand piece was easy.  I just inked it up with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen.  For the water pieces, I used Chipped Sapphire, but I was sure to always start inking from the top of each piece to get more color there, blending down toward the bottom.  Once the inking was finished, I die cut the coordinating Tag Die, which is slightly larger, in white and adhered all of the inked pieces on top of this.

Next I cut my favorite flip flops from Sit Back & Relax, using some cute patterned paper from Echo Park's Sunny Days Ahead.  I popped these up with some dimensional adhesive.   The sentiment, also from Sit Back & Relax, was too big for my tag, so I made a little banner with one of the Stitched Decorative Banner Dies.  Perfect!  Lastly, I added a jumbo eyelet, some ribbon, and jute.
