Father's Day Hexagon Card

I made this card for my dad using Papertrey Ink's Cover Plate:  Hexagon Die for the background.  Since I had to run this die through my Vegabond 5 times to get all of the different colors, I ended up with enough cuts to make 5 backgrounds.  I think I'll make some thank you notes with the rest of them, so I can always use those.

To make my little medallion, I used one of the My Creative Time Stitched Starburst Dies, and then I heat embossed a circle from MCT's You Are Spot On and a sentiment from the retired MCT set, You're My Best Buddy.  "DAD" was made with MCT's Pretty Bold Letter Dies.  I die cut each letter three times, twice in brown, and then white for the top layer.
