Enjoy the Simple Things!

When I was making my circle swing cards last week, I was left with this half circle of green patterened paper.  It reminded me of a hill, so the idea for this card came to mind.  It's an A2 size card, and I used the Imagine Best Friends cartridge to make the cloud patterned paper.

This adorable tree with swing is from the Cricut Just Because Cards cartridge.  It's cut at 8" (not real size of course).  I ran the green layer through my Cuttlebug with the Polka Dots embossing folder.

I thought that this sentiment from My Creative Time's This & That stamp set was just perfect for a tree with a swing!

Soccer Polaroid Card

I just received an order from Papertrey Ink that included the Fabulous Frames Die Collection.  I ordered this mainly to be able to use the polaroid die with Project Life, but I got an idea for a card once I saw it in person.  I think it was inspired by all of the soccer teams that have begun practicing at my neighborhood park!

I thought it would be fun to use the silhouette of the girl soccer player from My Creative Time's Soccer stamp set.  For a fun background, I printed a patterned square using the Cricut Imagine Best Friends cartridge.  The polka dot and green patterned papers are from Echo Park's This & That:  Charming 6 x 6 pad, and I added a coordinating brad as a "thumbtack" holding the polaroid to the bulletin board.

This fun sentiment is also from MCT's Soccer.  Have you heard that My Creative Time is having a customer appreciation sale today through Sunday?  Now is your chance to get a great deal on this set:  it's on sale, plus another 20% off!

MCT My Favorite Stamp of the Month

It's time for another edition of My Creative Time's My Favorite Stamp of the Month!  Today we are showcasing two of Emma's stamp sets that are now ON SALE:  Just a Little Note to Say... and My Favorite Sayings!  Head on over to the My Creative Time Store to pick up your stamps and then join in the Link Up Party on Emma's blog!  Everybody is invited to link up their new and past projects created with these stamps.

For my project today, I made a card that fits in a business size envelope.  My green card base is cut at 9 1/4" x 8", scored at 4".  The brown layer is 9" x 3 3/4", and the patterned layer, printed from the Cricut Imagine Best Friends cartridge, is at 8 3/4" x 3 1/2".

This cute airplane is from the Cricut Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridge.  I cut it at 3", using papers from the Echo Park This & That:  Charming collection.

For my banner, I die cut a little tag from My Creative Time's Build a Banner Kit, stamped it with a sentiment from My Favorite Sayings, and tied it to the plane with some twine.

Here is another card that I made in the past with the My Favorite Sayings stamp set.  Just click on the link below it to see the original post with details.

And here are a couple of cards that I've made with the Just a Little Note to Say... stamp set.

Don't forget to stop by My Creative Time to join in the fun and to see the great projects created by Emma and the rest of the design team with these two fun stamp sets!

Monday Madness... Imagine That!

It's time for a My Creative Time "Monday Madness... Imagine That" design team post!  For today's project, we are using our Imagines, but it's designer's choice!  I had fun making some 3 1/2" cards using Emma's Small Talk stamp set, paper printed with my Imagine, and felt embellishments, along with coordinating envelopes.  On each card, the dotted border and sentiment are from Small Talk.

For each card, I used a 3 1/2" x 7" piece of kraft cardstock, scored at 3 1/2".  The cardstock layer is a 3 1/4" square, and the patterned layer is a 3" square.  For my heart card, I used a pattern from the Imagine More Cards Cricut Imagine cartridge.  I also used Papertrey Ink Raspberry Fizz cardstock, felt, and ink.  My cute felt heart was cut with my Cuttlebug using My Creative Time's Stitched Heart Die, which is included in the 100% Sweetness Stamp Set.  I added some hand stitching using embroidery floss.

The patterned paper on this card is from the Best Friends Imagine cartridge, and I used Papertrey Ink Royal Velvet cardstock and felt, along with their Beautiful Blooms II #1 flower die.  For each card, I made a coordinating envelope by caching my patterns and using them for a 7.3" envelope from the All Wrapped Up Imagine cartridge.  I love to buy the thick stacks of DCWV or Recollections patterned paper from Joann's or Michaels to use for envelopes.  The paper is very thin, which is what you need.  For my envelopes today, I chose patterns that coordinated with my cards, and then printed the Imagine patterns on the other side, to get double sided envelopes.  I love how they turned out!

For this last card I used another pattern from Best Friends, along with PTI Orange Zest cardstock and felt.  Here's a pic of the complete Small Talk stamp set:
