Aging to Perfection!

Hello!  It's been quite a while, and it feels so weird to not be crafting and blogging!  June was quite busy with the end of the school year and then our move to a new home.  Since then my days have been filled with decorating our new space, enjoying a long visit with good friends who travelled here from Philadelphia, and lots of get-togethers with friends and families.  I'm so thankful that this move happened in the summer, and it's given me the time to get everything organized so that I'll be all settled when school starts up again next month!

I am just starting to get into my craft room.  July is a big birthday month for my family, and my dad has a big one this year:  his 80th!  I made this card for him using the cute truck cut from the Cricut  Just Because Cards cartridge and the mountains from the Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridge.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Wow! So Many Candles!

Classroom Job Chart

I was in need of a new job chart for my classroom, so I pulled out my crafty supplies and got to work.  First I found the pockets in Cricut Design Studio and cut ten of then from a thin patterned paper.  They are about 2 3/4" x 3".  Then I wrote the names of the jobs on each pocket.  I also cut out the "Jobs" title with my Cricut.

I found the bucket image on the Handy Man cartridge, and cut the envelope using the My Creative Time Mini Stitched Envelope Die.

I used two Cricut cartridges for these images:  Pop-Up Neighborhood for the watering can and Locker Talk for the books.

The stars were made with MCT's Bunch of Stitched Star Dies and the puzzle piece was from MCT's Stitched Puzzle Piece Dies.  I decided to always have a jigsaw puzzle going in my classroom this year, so I need somebody in charge of making sure the pieces don't get left on the floor to be vacuumed up!

The lunchbox was made with a Cricut Locker Talk Cut, and I used one of the new MCT Stitched Square Dies Inside and Out, along with Social Media Dies and Stitched 4 x 6 Journal Die to make my line leader sign.

Finally, I used the recycle symbol from the Cricut Bits and Pieces and the table from French Manor for the last two pockets.  Hopefully this job chart will last me for years to come!

MCT July Sneak Peek #2

It's time for another day of sneak peeks!  Today I'm sharing a cute tag that I made for my niece's birthday present.  I had fun mixing new and old My Creative Time products for this one.  Can you figure out which ones?  Remember, it's your job to guess!

I stamped my background on some subtle chevron paper that is from a 6 x 6 stack of American Crafts paper that I found at Michael's.  I love the combination of the pattern and the stamping!  That adorable little bird is from the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge, cut at 2 1/4".  I added a little thin yellow hemp and some green at the top of the tag, from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  That cute polka dot brad is from the Simple Stories 24/7 collection.

To make some grass, I edged my green grid paper with my ekSuccess Bumpy Roads Edger Punch before cutting it with a mystery MCT die.  The fence, cut at 1", is from the Cricut Pop-Up Neighborhood Cricut cartridge.

Tow Truck Valentine

For my nephews' Valentine, I thought they would enjoy a tow-truck theme.  This cute tow-truck is cut at 3" from the Cricut Pop Up Neighborhood cartridge.  The paper for the truck and the background is from My Mind's Eye Lucky in Love, which can be found at Liz's Paper Loft Boutique!

Instead of using circles for the center of the tires, I used little hearts made with My Creative Time's Stitched Heart Layering Dies.  I cut a slit in a medium sized heart and put it on the tow-truck hook.  The road was made by stamping a dashed line from Papertrey Ink's School Time stamp set with Versamark Ink on a strip of brown cardstock and then heat embossing white embossing powder.

The sweet sentiment is from the new My Creative Time Lots of Love stamp set.  Perfect fonts!
