Card for the Camper

My sixth grade nephew was at Outdoor Ed this week, and we were allowed to send him a letter.  Of course, I had to make him a card, and this little moose on the Cricut Campin' Critters cartridge, was just perfect!  I made a background with the My Creative Time MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies and one of the Fun Stitched Edges Dies for the hill.  That cute patterned paper is from an old October Afternoon pack.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Summer Camp Stamp Set.

Camping Squirrel Hello

I received an email from the mom of one of my students from this past year, letting me know that her daughter was at a two week sleep away camp, if I wanted to send her a letter.  This girl loves crafty things, so I knew she'd appreciate getting a card from me.  I thought this squirrel cut from the Cricut Campin' Critters cartridge was just perfect!  I used some fun background ledger paper from October Afternoon that was in my stash, and added some grass made with the My Creative Time Stitched Grass Die.  I also cut a teeny speech bubble from the Cricut Word Bubbles cartridge for stamping my little sentiment from the Papertrey Ink Flower Fusion #1 Stamp Set.  Hopefully Maddy likes her card!

Backpacking Box Card

My brother-in-law loves to go backpacking, so I thought it would be fun to make him a box card with a backpacking theme.  For my base, I used a plain box card from SVG Cuts. Then I added the fire, sleeping bag and tent, which I found in Cricut Design Space (all from the Campin' Critters cartridge, I believe).  The "adventure awaits" sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Road Trip stamp set, and "happy birthday" is from PTI's Ribbon Tails.  I stamped them onto die cuts I made with PTI's Double Ended Banners Die.

This cool "take nothing but pictures" quote is from the PTI Summer Camp stamp set.

This last round sentiment is also from Summer Camp, and it's stamped on a circle cut with the PTI Limitless Layers 1 3/4" Circle Die Collection.

Backpack Gift Card Holder

I'm on a roll with the Cricut Campin' Critters cartridge this week.  I got my brother-in-law an REI gift card for his birthday, and since he loves to backpack, I thought it would be fun to make the backpack from this cartridge to hold the gift card.  I cut the main parts in kraft cardstock and then used the Simple Stories Take a Hike 6x6 pack for my patterned paper.  Then I used one of the My Creative Time Stitched Starburst Dies to make the little decoration on the front, stamping it with stamps from Papertrey Ink's Happy Camper stamp set.

The front of the backpack opens up just like a real one, revealing the gift card inside!

Camper Birthday Card

Today is my dad's birthday, and since he enjoys camping, I thought it would be fun to use the cute little dies from Papertrey Ink's Happy Camper on his card.  The "Enjoy the Journey" sentiment is also from this set.  For the tree background, I used a cut from the Cricut Campin' Critters cartridge on my Cricut Explore.  The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from PTI's Stylish Sentiments:  Birthday stamp set.
