St. Patrick's Day Worm

Here's a fun little St. Patrick's Day I made with my Gypsy, the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge, and the My Creative Time I'm a Lucky Girl stamp and die set and Stitched Postage Frame Die.  I made the card base with my Gypsy by creating a tilted rectangle that is the same size as the opening in the postage frame.  I heat embossed the three little shamrocks and the sentiment from I'm a Lucky Girl onto the green patterned paper with some Zing White Embossing Powder and then adhered all of the layers together, including a frame made with the Stitched Postage Frame Die.

Next I cut the cut worm from Create a Critter 2 at 3". I didn't cut his hat, because I wanted to use the cute stitched dies from I'm a Lucky Girl instead.  I used Glossy Accents on the shamrock to give it some extra shine.

Since this card has a window,  I needed to finish off the inside as well.  I cut a back for the worm by cutting a mirror image of the green layer.  I added a little strip of green cardstock to give the look of the back of his bow tie and cut an extra hat for the back as well.  I also added another frame to finish it off.

If you are feeling up for a challenge, Cassandra has a fun one up today on the My Creative Time blog!  Head on over there and join the fun!

Well....for this weekend ONLY, starting this Friday 10/25/2013 @ 12:01am PST  thru Sunday 10/27/2013 @ 11:59pm PST you can use the code OCT2013 to get 20% off your entire order in Emma's store HERE!  Remember she told you about making a "Teeny Tag Holiday" stamp set? WELL....wait no longer, it will be available this Friday, 10/25/2013  in her store HERE!

For my project today, I made a bat spinner card for my little nephews!  It's a 5" x 6 1/2" card (I love how my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board  frees me up to make any size card, knowing that I can still make a matching envelope).  That cute patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Wicked collection, which I found at Michael's.  It was perfect for the scene I wanted to create.

I tried to get some pictures to show you the movement of the bat!  If you've never made a spinner card before, my friend Liz, of Liz's Paper Loft Boutique, has a great tutorial.  I wanted my bat to spin down in a semicircular direction, so I created the slot in Silhouette Studio.   The cute bat was made with the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge, cut at 1 1/4".

I used the Cricut Chic & Scary cartridge to make this spooky tree, cutting it at 4 1/4".  The enamel dots are also from the MME Wicked collection.

This cat is also from Chic & Scary, cut at 1 1/2".  The spooky sentiment and the bats are from My Creative Time's Fright Night stamp set.  I just love how well they match the paper!

MCT July Sneak Peek #2

It's time for another day of sneak peeks!  Today I'm sharing a cute tag that I made for my niece's birthday present.  I had fun mixing new and old My Creative Time products for this one.  Can you figure out which ones?  Remember, it's your job to guess!

I stamped my background on some subtle chevron paper that is from a 6 x 6 stack of American Crafts paper that I found at Michael's.  I love the combination of the pattern and the stamping!  That adorable little bird is from the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge, cut at 2 1/4".  I added a little thin yellow hemp and some green at the top of the tag, from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  That cute polka dot brad is from the Simple Stories 24/7 collection.

To make some grass, I edged my green grid paper with my ekSuccess Bumpy Roads Edger Punch before cutting it with a mystery MCT die.  The fence, cut at 1", is from the Cricut Pop-Up Neighborhood Cricut cartridge.

Party Elephant Birthday Card

My niece is turning 6, and I thought she would love this partying elephant from the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge!  I cut the elephant at 4 1/4" and the ice cream cone at 2 1/2".

To make my sentiment, I die cut a banner from My Creative Time's Build a Banner Kit and stamped it with a sentiment from MCT's Celebrate Good Times.  All of the patterned papers are from Echo Park's Bundle Of Joy Girl collection.  It's a baby collection, but it can really be used for anything.  The few specific baby patterns have more generic patterns on the back.  Love it!
