MCT October Sneak Peek #2

Time for more fun My Creative Time sneak peeks!  Today I baked up some yummy Glazed Doughnut Muffins for you!  These are a perfect Halloween treat, topped with some cute toppers made with the new Scalloped Stitched Rosette Dies!  I even pulled out my Cricut and made some cupcake wrappers with my Easter 2010 Cricut cartridge.

All of my patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Wicked collection, found at Michael's.  This is the larger of the two rosette dies, and it works perfectly with the MCT Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies!  See that cute sentiment and darling stitched pumpkin?  They are from the new All Around Holidays!  This is an adorable new set of round holiday sentiments with coordinating dies!

I used the larger rosette die and the scalloped circle again here, but this time I added a cute ticket made with the new Holiday Tickets stamp set and the Stitched Fun Tickets die.  I just love these little tickets!!!

Now we've the got the cute mini rosette!  This one is so little that the stitched circle and starburst from Build a Banner work perfectly with it!  I just love it!  The sweet little sentiment and bat (which I'm just realizing I stamped upside down, LOL) is from the new Postcard Add-Ons stamp set.

Quick Easter Card

Last year I saw some of these cards made by other bloggers, and I just loved the idea!  It totally fits my brother's sense of humor, so I had to make him one.  I kept it really simple.  It's an A2 sized card.  The blue patterned background is from the DCWV Baby Boy Stack, but I can't find that anywhere online!  The grass is from the DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack, and I cut it with the Martha Stewart Icicle Punch.

My bunnies are cut at 2.41" and 3" from the Cricut Easter 2010 cartridge.  I ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Papertrey Ink Buttoned Up #2 Die to make the bites out of them.  The speech balloons are cut at 0.29" and 0.35" from the Cricut Smiley Cards cartridge.  I stamped the letters using the Papertrey Ink Simple Alphabet stamp set.

First Two-Wheeler Layout

This weekend I made a layout of the day that my son got his first two-wheeler. I began with a 12" square of blue cardstock and sewed on an 11 1/2" square of kraft cardstock. The scalloped square for the background is cut at 11" x 11" real dial size from Mini Monograms.

My title is from Graphically Speaking and is cut at 4".

I cut the tree at 16.65" from Just Because Cards and trimmed off the left side. The grass is cut from two sections of 2.5" grass from Easter 2010, welded together, and the bicycle is cut at 3.5" from Boys Will Be Boys.

Lastly, I cut the arrow at 1.35" from Graphically Speaking. For my journaling tag, I just used a rectangle of ledger paper, but I edged it with my "Binding Edge" punch.

Craft Junkie Too Easter Design Team Post

This is my 2nd post today. Be sure to scroll down to check out how I used balsa wood on a card for my Creative Critterz Imaginations Design Team project!

It's design team day over at Craft Junkie Too, and today we're sharing some fun Easter projects! For my card, I used my Gypsy to weld together two 5 1/2" eggs from the Easter cartridge. I cut a third egg at the same time and adhered it to the front of the card so that the fold wouldn't show. I heat embossed a background image on the top blue layer to give it a little more interest.

My felt flowers were cut in the Cuttlebug with dies from Papertrey Ink, as were the tag and the button. My sentiment is from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy stamp set.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, my blogging friends! I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Last week I was very excited to find the spa socks back at Michael's. I bought a few pair to make cupcakes for some friends. For directions on how to make these, go to the blog of the incredibly creative Carrie at Greenbean's Crafterole. I used the Easter cartridge to make the cupcake wrappers at 10.5" in width.

1st My Creative Time Design Team Project!

This is my 2nd post today. Please scroll down to see my Creative Critterz Imaginations design team project.

I'm very excited to be showcasing My Creative Time's "Color Me Happy" stamp set today for my first project on Emma's design team! All of Emma's stamp sets are adorable, and this one is no exception. For this card I chose the "there's no bunny like you" stamp because I thought it was a perfect match for a little bird dressed up as a bunny.

To make this card, I used my Gypsy to weld together two 5.21" baskets from the Create a Critter cartridge and then cut them on yellow cardstock, "hiding" all inner cuts. Next I cut a patterned paper layer, again hiding the inner cuts. The brown basket was cut normally (all baskets were cut at 5.21"), and I ran it through the Squares Cuttlebug folder. The grass is from the Easter 2010 cartridge, and I welded two of them together, cutting them at 1.5". For the "bunny bird", I used 3 Birds on Parade, and cut it at 3".

Cricut Cake Mini: Cupcakes!

Today two of my friends came over so that we could make cupcakes for a coworker's baby shower. Our third friend, who is the baker among us, was not able to join us at the last minute, so our frosting is not the prettiest. However, we used the Cake to cut flowers out of Duff's Chocolate and Pink Buttercream fondant, using Walk in My Garden. The cupcake wrappers are from the Easter cartridge, but I hid the little holes, using my Gypsy. We had to make 4 dozen, so we had to keep it simple!

Egg Hunt Layout

This is a little out of season, but it's where I am in my chronological scrapbook for my son. I'm up to April of 1999! Yesterday I was able to pick up a couple of Cricut Lite cartridges, since we happened to be near a Walmart (I don't have one locally). I got "Dude!" and "Feeling Groovy" and used "Feeling Groovy" for the title here. Don't you just love that font? The rest of the cuts are from the "Easter" cartridge. Some of my measurements look odd because I created it on my Gypsy. I tend not to pick a specific size, but just enlarge it to how I like it.

Recipe:

Background Paper: DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink Berry Sorbet, Dark Chocolate, Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf, and Lemon Tart

Chocolate Bunny cut at 3.83" and run through Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder
"Lacy" egg cut at 2.60"
Plain eggs cut at 2.14" (run through Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug Folder) and 1.83" (run through Divine Swirls Cuttlebug Folder)
Journaling tag cut at 1.37"
"Egg Hunt" cut at 1 3/4"
