Wobble Birthday Bird

A little boy in my class had a birthday last week, and I thought it would be fun to make him a card with this funny bird from the Cricut 3 Birds on Parade cartridge.  I used the My Creative Time Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies to make my white and blue layers, and stamped a sentiment from MCT's Plane & Simple.

I mounted the bird on an Action Wobble, which was a huge hit with my student!

MCT Scrapping the Little Things

Welcome to another My Creative Time Scrapping the Little Things!  This is the day that Emma and some design team members showcase Project Life, Smash Books, or traditional layouts.  Since today is April Fools, we thought it would be fun to scrap some silly themes.  I found these funny pics of my son from a couple of years ago.  We were out shopping, when my niece decided to dress him up.  He was such a good sport!

I found the perfect title for my layout in the Cricut 3 Birds on Parade cartridge.  I cut it at 2" and replaced the dot on the "i" with a metallic sticker.  I also added a crown cut with a die from MCT's Chunky Die Accessories.

This layout definitely needed a purse, and I found this one on the Cricut Paisley cartridge.  I cut it at 2" and added a flower made with MCT's Stitched Button Dies. As a background, I added a frame made with MCT's Stitched Postage Frame Die.

I found the perfect sentiment for my layout on MCT's Camera Shy. 

I used MCT's Stitched Tag Dies for my journaling.  To make a fun scalloped border along the base of my pictures, I used one of the dies from MCT's Treat Slider Box.  Since these were only a few inches long, I covered the seams with more of the stitched flower buttons.

Baby Tag

I had a baby gift to wrap, so I whipped up a cute tag to put on it.  The tag itself was made with My Creative Time's Tag Dies.  I cut it once in kraft and once in patterned paper, and then cut down the patterned paper to add as a layer.  The pretty yellow seam binding is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

This bird is one of my favorite Cricut cuts!  It's from 3 Birds on Parade, and I cut at 3" using some of my patterned paper scraps.  To make the sentiment, I used the little banner die from MCT's Chocolate Greetings, and stamped it with a sentiment from MCT's All Star Baby.

Wobble Owl Card

I spent a few days last week at my sister's, and while I was there we went shopping for my seven-year-old niece's new backpack.  She fell in love with one with an owl pattern, so I thought it would be fun to send her a card with the same look.  Click here to see the backpack from Pottery Barn Kids, where I got my inspiration.

This adorable owl is cut from the Cricut Hoot 'n' Holler cartridge, at 3 1/2".  I wanted a patterned turquoise for his wings, but I couldn't find just the right paper.  So, I stamped the My Creative Time Spring Chicken Background with Papertrey Ink's Hawaiian Shores ink onto Hawaiian Shores cardstock.  Perfect!  I also attached this owl with an Action Wobble, to give him some fun movement for my niece.

The fun purple shapes are cut from the Cricut Feeling Groovy cartridge, at 1 3/4" and 2".  The flowers are cut at 1 3/4" from the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge.  I topped them with buttons created with the Papertrey Ink Buttoned Up #2 Die.  Lastly, I added a little sentiment from the MCT Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.
