MCT Favorite Stamp/Die of the Month

My Creative Time's Favorite Stamp/Die of the Month this month is Springtime in Paris, a gorgeous collection that includes an Eiffel Tower die, coordinating stamps, and lots of lovely sentiments.  I heat embossed one of these sentiments on a die cut made with one of the Vintage Stitched Label Dies for my card today.  To mix things up a bit, I made my Eiffel Tower out of some lime green cardstock!

For my background, I was inspired by a technique that Kristina Werner used in Online Card Classes' Background Check class.  I made the plaid design scoring the cardstock with my Scor-Pal.  I then inked it up using three different shades of distress inks.  Finally, I trimmed the piece with the largest of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies.  A few Papertrey Ink Rainstones were the finishing touch.

Be sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what she and the rest of the design team have created with Springtime in Paris!
