It's a 3D Wednesday with My Creative Time! I've been dying to try out one of Lori Whitlock's Shadow Box cuts from the Silhouette Store, and this was the perfect opportunity! Can you believe this shadow box is made entirely out of paper? It wasn't too difficult to put together either. Lori has a series of YouTube videos with great instructions.
For the top section, I cut the adorable witch's hat from the Cricut Happy Hauntings cartridge at 2.65" I added a little Glossy Accents to the buckle and spider. That cute "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments and is stamped on a stitched banner made with MCT's Build a Banner Kit. I added a cute brad from the My Mind's Eye Mischievous collection.
Here I used the BIG "Boo" stamp from MCT's Treats for My Sweet! It was the perfect size. See that cute little pumpkin? I made that out of paper, following a tutorial from my sweet friend Linda, of The Paper Boutique. If you follow her tutorial, I just changed the size of the strips to 2 1/2" x 5/8" to make it a smaller size. I also added a little leaf cut from MCT's Piles of Smiles. The little "Best Witches" sentiment is from Treats for My Sweet, and is stamped onto a tag made from MCT's Teeny Tag Greetings. A black "Glam Rock" finished it off!
For the last section, I used my favorite witch's shoe from Happy Hauntings, cut at 2.65". I used my Gypsy to hide the lace holes and made my own using my Crop-a-Dile and some small eyelets. I was then able to lace up the boot using some Trendy Twine.
