One of my friends just announced her pregnancy, and I couldn't wait to make her a card! I made this with my Cricut Maker. I didn't have just the right stamp in my collection, so I just found a font that I liked (from the Baby Steps cartridge) and had the marker on the Maker write it out for me! The cute owl die cut is from the Hoot 'n' Holler cartridge. I die cut the background using one of the My Creative Time Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and added a few hearts made with the MCT 4x4 Journal Dies + More.

Owl Birthday Card
I made this cute little card for one of my students who recently celebrated her birthday, using an owl from The Cricut Hoot 'n' Holler cartridge and the pretty branch from the Cricut Cake Basics cartridge. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins dressed up the flowers. For the background, I used one of the My Creative Time Stitched Postage Frame Dies, along with a sentiment from MCT's Grad Night.

Birthday Owl
I've got another birthday card for one of my third graders to share today! For this one, I started with an A2 size lavender card base, and then added white and green layers that I'd made using My Creative Time's Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. I ran the green one through my Vagabond with the Cuttlebug Spots & Dots embossing folder.
This cute little owl was made with the Cricut Hoot 'n' Holler cartridge on my Cricut Explore. I gave her some fun balloons that I made with dies from MCT's Best Bots Forever.
For the sentiment, I die cut a banner with MCT's Vintage Stitched Label Dies and then stamped a sentiment from Vintage Sentiments.

Owl & Hexagons Birthday Card
Have you ever cut some pieces for projects that you didn't end up using? That's how this card came about.
I had originally cut this 4" owl from the Cricut Hoot 'n' Holler cartridge for a get well card for my mom last month, but I thought it ended up looking too masculine. So, I set it aside, and I ended up using it on this birthday card for my dad.
A while back I also had made a rustic white 4" x 5 1/4" layer that had a row of hexagons down one side. I decided to use it for this project, but the patterns on my hexagons didn't match my owl very well. No problem; I just die cut some more hexagons and layered the new patterns on top. This added some more dimension too! After placing my owl on this layer, I decided the rustic white background was too plain. So, I trimmed off the strip of hexagons and then used clear embossing powder to heat emboss a crackle background on the remaining cardstock. Much better look! Then I added a strip of navy cardstock behind the hexagon strip and attached that to the card with some dimensional adhesives.
Some jute twine was the perfect masculine touch, and I used it to attach my sentiment, made with My Creative Time's Teeny Tag Greetings stamp and die set.
Since I had some leftover hexagons, I used a few to decorate the inside of my card.

Wobble Owl Card
I spent a few days last week at my sister's, and while I was there we went shopping for my seven-year-old niece's new backpack. She fell in love with one with an owl pattern, so I thought it would be fun to send her a card with the same look. Click here to see the backpack from Pottery Barn Kids, where I got my inspiration.
This adorable owl is cut from the Cricut Hoot 'n' Holler cartridge, at 3 1/2". I wanted a patterned turquoise for his wings, but I couldn't find just the right paper. So, I stamped the My Creative Time Spring Chicken Background with Papertrey Ink's Hawaiian Shores ink onto Hawaiian Shores cardstock. Perfect! I also attached this owl with an Action Wobble, to give him some fun movement for my niece.
The fun purple shapes are cut from the Cricut Feeling Groovy cartridge, at 1 3/4" and 2". The flowers are cut at 1 3/4" from the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge. I topped them with buttons created with the Papertrey Ink Buttoned Up #2 Die. Lastly, I added a little sentiment from the MCT Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.
