Get Well Soon Trifold Card

I wanted to make a get well card for a friend, and it was so great to have the "image search" feature in Cricut Design Space to look for just the right cut.  I came across this trifold card in the Just a Note cartridge, one that I had totally forgotten about, but it's so cute!  I cut it at 5 1/4," which made the width small enough to just fit on an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Papertrey Ink aqua mist cardstock (nice and sturdy).

To add a little interest on the front folds, I stamped My Creative Time's Grainy Wood Background in Versamark ink.  For my patterned paper, I used Simple Stories 24/Seven collection.  I also added a cute little flower button that I made with MCT's Stitched Button Dies.

Isn't this flower so adorable?  I love how nicely it cut out with my Explore!

The 24/Seven collection had this fun cork board paper, so I thought it would be fun to make a little note and "pin" it on there for the recipient of this card.  To make the note, I took some rustic cream cardstock, stamped it with the binder paper stamps from MCT's Get Schooled, trimmed it with one of the dies from Fun Stitched Edges Dies, and added a stamp from Many Greetings.  Then I cut a teeny silver circle with a die from Picture Perfect to be a little thumbtack.  Hopefully this card cheers up my friend!

Life is a beautiful ride.

Are you sick of my bicycles yet?  I think I'm addicted!  Here's a birthday card I made for a sweet friend.  I used the Cricut Just a Note cartridge for my tree, cutting it at 4 1/4".  I found some perfect patterned paper for its trunk in My Mind's Eye Life of the Party and for the foliage in Fly a Kite.

For today's bike, I used Papertrey Ink's Pedal Pusher stamps and dies, using the presents for the basket.  I used my Martha Stewart Icicle Punch for the grass, and I popped up an extra layer of it with dimensional adhesive.  I popped up the bike as well.

The sentiments are from Pedal Pusher, stamped in Royal Velvet and Smokey Shadow.

Baby Mini Album

My neighbors just had their first baby, so I had to make something special for them. I decided to make a mini album to record some of those special first moments.  The pages of the album are from the Kerri Bradford Silhouette class that I took about a month ago.  I cut them at 8".  I didn't use any chipboard.  To make the front and back covers sturdier, I made an inside base of the sturdy Papertrey Ink kraft cardstock with patterned paper and colored cardstock on either side.  The inside pages are all made of patterned paper adhered to colored cardstock.  I bound the whole thing using The Cinch.

For the cover, I used patterned paper from the Simple Stories Baby Steps collection (all of the patterned paper in the book is from this collection, unless otherwise noted).  The banner was made with My Creative Time's Build a Banner Kit and stamped with letters from MCT's Anyday Bingo & Crossword.  I used some natural hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique to string the banner.  The cute elephant is from the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge.  I cut "Julien" out of Core'dinations cardstock, using my Silhouette.

The kraft cardstock I used is from The Paper Company, and all of the solid cardstock is Papertrey Ink.  On this page, the bird cut is from the Cricut 3 Birds on Parade cartridge.  I ran the sling through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The orange polka-dotted paper is a printable from the Kerri Bradford class.  Don't you just love the baby flash card?  It's from the Simple Stories paper, and you'll see a variety of them throughout the book.

"Special Delivery" is another cut from 3 Birds on Parade.

For this page, I took another printable background (the blue polka dots) from the Kerri Bradford class.  After printing it in my regular printer, I ran it through my Cricut Imagine and printed this word art from the Cricut Word Collage cartridge, using the "print only" feature and brown ink.  I then edged it with my ekSuccess Bumpy Roads Edger Punch.

This funny bird is another one from 3 Birds on Parade.  The polka-dotted papers are from Papertrey Ink, and the grid papers were scraps in my stash.

Here we have a cute carriage from the Cricut Everyday Pop-Up Cards cartridge.

"Lullaby" is also from Everyday Pop-Up Cards.

"Cute as a bug" and the ladybug are cut from the Cricut Just Because Cards cartridge using some Crate Paper patterned paper.

I used my Imagine and the "cut only" feature to get my little onesie.

This cute little bunny and "Peek a Boo" are from the Cricut Just a Note cartridge that is built into my Expression 2 Anniversary Edition.  The strip down the middle of the page is more PTI polka-dotted paper.

And lastly, "Sweet" and the bunny are from the Cricut Baby Steps cartridge.  I made the cute pocket for my bunny with the die from My Creative Time's Fun Pockets stamp and die set.
