Post-It Note Holders

Yesterday was my last day of school, so I can finally post pictures of the gifts I made for my students. Some people wondered what I worked on at the Northern California Circle Crop, and this was it. I'd held off posting because some of my kiddos like to visit my blog. A few weeks ago I surveyed my students on their 3 favorite colors and animals so that I could personalize each notepad. Here are some of the ones I made:

I packaged each gift in a cellophane bag, tied it with a ribbon, and added a cute tag.

My tag was made by using my Gypsy to weld together the sun from Create a Critter (with the face hidden) and a tag from Sweet Treats. The cute sentiment is from My Creative Time's "Have Fun in the Sun" stamp set, and I used a Peachy Keen face on the sun.

Special Request Card

A friend of mine asked if I would make a card for her mom. She and her brothers are giving her the gift of a new patio, and they needed a card to let her know about it. This is a 6" square card. I first printed a 5.5" square of cloud patterned paper from the Best Friends cartridge on the Imagine. The tree is cut at 5", using the Imagine More cartridge for the green gingham pattern. The table, cut at 2.65", is from the Camp Out cartridge, and the grill, cut at 2.3", is from the From My Kitchen cartridge. Lastly, I cut the flowers in the vase at 1.5" from Kate's ABCs.

To make the grass, I printed a rectangle with the same Imagine More pattern, and then trimmed it with my Martha Stewart Icicle Punch. I didn't have any good paper for a patio, so I searched online and found some free printables at "Outdoor Fun Scrapbook Graphics." I just used my Scor-Pal to make it look like tiles.

St. Patty's Day Invite

Every year I have some family over for a traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner. It's one of our favorite traditions! I usually don't make invitations, but when I saw this stamp from My Creative Time's "I Believe in Leprechauns" stamp set, I couldn't resist! I'm entering this card into My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday Challenge: use any of the older cartridges and have a St. Patrick's Day theme.

This invitation is a postcard style; I'll just write the info on the back. I made my polka-dotted paper using Spring Moss Ink and the "Polka Dot Basics" stamp set from Papertrey Ink. My pot, cut at 2.6" from the From My Kitchen cartridge, was created on the Imagine using a pattern from the Imagine More cartridge. I printed an extra square of that pattern to use for my die cut button. The little shamrock was cut at 0.7" from Designer's Calendar. Lastly, I heat embossed gold embossing powder for my sentiment.

Sweet Holiday Wishes

This the card that I made for My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday challenge. The challenge has to do with food, and Emma used this jelly jar from the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge on her card. I didn't even realize we had this cut, and I knew it was perfect for a card that has been in my head since I got my Imagine Yummy cartridge.

I cut the jelly jar at 4 1/2", once in vellum and once in cardstock. Then I cut 9 of the candies from Yummy at 1", and adhered them to the cardstock. I used my Janome Sew Mini to sew the vellum to the cardstock. Being pretty new to sewing, my corners didn't turn out great, but it could be worse!
